The temple interior was that of the exterior, ice. Astrie reached for his lightsaber, instead, he felt the hipt of his master's saber. The memories of the pain returned to him in the form of a headache. Quickly reaching to his other side he grabbed his saber and ignited the blue blade. You can't feel the pain if you ignore it.
The dark, icy hall reflected the blue light of the blade, not for a long distance. Last time Astrie was on Ilum he had to find his lightsaber crystal. He had no light while wandering around the caves, only the Force. Now, Astrie had a force of his own, made from the crystal he harvested in the planets caves, a lightsaber.
The Jedi believed the lightsaber was a tool, used to keep peace, a symbol of nature and technology working together in perfect harmony. Astrie and Mail had seen it as nothing but a weapon. It wasn't until he found that a weapon had two uses, that he learned the meaning of a lightsaber.
Reaching an opening Astrie lifted his lightsaber above his brow and peered into a small room. No other hallway entered or left the room, only a ladder downwards. Besides the ladder the room's ceiling was filled with crystal's arranged in major constellations, but not of Ilum's sky. They were Dathomirian of origin.
As Astrie led down the ladder he peered down another hall. This one was far longer. The shapes carved in the wall depicted that of a ring filled with a glowing light. Out walking three reptilian like beings with others bowing to them. The reptilian beings held a close resemblance to the Kwa. One held fire, the other lightning, the final held ice.
The Kwa where known as pacifist that spread wisdom and fled from battle, not freeze world's. This is the only thing that stopped Astrie from jumping to conclusions. The Kwa where some of the strongest force users, born from Dathomir, traveled to Tython, then fled the galaxy out of fear.
Coming out of the hallway he entered a large dome roofed room. The ceiling once again resembled the sky of Dathomir. Astrie believed it no coincidence the the people looked like Kwa. The signs where everywhere, but to devastating to think of.
Astrie saw no other exit, so he sat down and meditated. Astrie believe the force would do what it's always done, guild him. And he was correct, but not in the way he wanted to be.
A hand touched his shoulder, he heard the rasp, hissing voice of a man behind him. "Risssse Asstrie Mell. I have awaited your... Return."
Astrie refused to look behind him as he stood up. "What do you mean by, 'return?'"
The hand let go of his shoulder. "I, Allaa watched you azzz a young... ling." Allaa paused to take a breath. "I watched as you traveled to Ilum and found your cryssstal. And ssince then, I'vve awaited, your return." Allaa finished with a clicking sound.
Astrie had one question to ask. "You're already dead, aren't you? No point in resistance?"
Allaa let out a hissing laugh. "No, not dead. I am much sstill alive. My body hassss died, but my ssssoul has lived on."
Astrie turned around to see a blue ghost of a Kwa. "Why did you freeze the planet, turn it's ground to ice?"
Allaa looked at him with a smile. "Most Kwa believe the force was meant to serve. Few of usss new it was ment for both... Rulings and sssserving."
"Why am I here? What is the purpose of this?" Astrie grew angry with the thought of the impossible.
"So you can communicate with me." Astrie turned to see a red, cloudy blue reflection of his master in the icy wall. "So you can learn the truth."
Astrie stared in awe as his reflection morphed to an image of his old master. "You died. You're gone, one with the force."
Corvex stared blankly. "Sadly, no. I didn't become one with the force. Instead, I became a manifestation within your mind. I can only guide you, not give answers. My tongue, when called upon, only riddles, shall it share. This is the curse Hades has placed on me."
Astrie stared in confusion. "What do you mean curse?"
Corvex's face fell into despair. "To forever see your down fall over and over again, it being never ending."
"What do you mean. I need more knowledge then that."
Corvex frowned. "And that is why. Because you can not expect, you can not evolve."
Astrie thought about this for a minute. "What will be my downfall?"
Corvex looked up with a depressed face. "Your downfall is just that, your's. There will be many, and I will see them all. The first will be a traitorous blade of silver, the second will be the love of your enemy, and the third will be that of a long defeated foe. I wish you luck my young Padawan."
Astrie drew his lightsaber and struck the icy wall. "You aren't Corvex, show yourself to me, in your true form."
Before Astrie manifested a spirit of dark energy in the form of the Kwa he met earlier. The perfect depiction of a Reptilian Kwa. "I Allaa have told you the signs to avoid. I Allaa have given you the power of Ice. I Allaa..."
Astrie didn't care, using the force he sent a burst of energy from his body sending Allaa flying. "I don't give a damn who you are or what you did." Astrie's face cooled and grew calm. "My masters appearance is his own, how dare you try and use it to twist my fate. I will make you pay."
