Ally knew that Leo had the day off so she was much more comfortable at work. It had only been two days since their hook up and she hadn't really grasped the rules. She was restocking products the whole day and she tried really hard to focus on the task instead of Leo. She still wasn't sure about their agreement. How would it even play out? They'd do this for a while and then pretend like nothing happened? Where she supposed to be exclusive, only be with him? She had no idea how this extraordinary relationship was supposed to work.
She opened a box of toolkits and cut herself. It was a shallow wound at the tip of her finger. Nothing she hadn't done before when her thoughts had wandered. She put the knife back in her pocket and walked over to a sales disk and took out a first aid box.
"What are you doing?"
She jumped by the sound of his voice. She turned around with one hand on her heart and the other one hanging freely in the air. She made sure not to touch anything with her wounded finger.
"Leo."
He caught her hand and inspected it.
"It was an accident", she blurted out.
He raised his eyebrows and leaned forward as if to kiss her, but instead he took out a plaster and a pack of a sanitised tissue from the first aid box. He opened the pack of tissue with his teeth and carefully cleaned her finger, wiping away the blood. She held her breath when he put the plaster on and gently kissed the finger.
"How are you this clumsy?" He smirked. "I've seen you make all kinds of mistakes the last few days."
She breathed out.
"None of them on purpose though."
He looked at her.
"Are you scared of me?" He sounded worried.
She choose her words carefully. "I'm not not scared?" It came out as a question.
He shook his head. "If this is too much for you..."
"It's not."
"It's rude to interrupt."
She took a step back but he pulled her close.
"See, you are scared." He put a strand of hair behind her ear. "I won't do anything, not if you don't want me to."
Being this close to him created a feeling between her legs. His presence was intoxicating.
"I might be wanting it?" Again, the words came out sounding as a question.
He stepped back. "I won't punish you. Not for this. You're good, but don't interrupt me again."
"You weren't supposed to work today."
It sounded like Ally was accusing him and Leo wasn't here for it, but he reminded himself of his promise. He wouldn't punish her.
"I took an extra shift. You thought you could act carelessly just because I wasn't here?"
She shook her head but there was a playfulness in the look of her eye. "Absolutely not. I would never."
She smiled. He took a deep breath. She was infuriating, but he couldn't help but watch her butt as she was walking away. Oh, what he wanted to do to her.
Ally was walking down the stairs from the break room. She noticed that her shoelace was untied but decided to fix it when she was back on solid ground. Then she tripped and sat right down on her ass. She was a bit embarrassed because a few customers had seen her. She shook of their worry for her wellbeing and thanked them with a smile.
