He frowned, surprised at the question. "You want me to fight you?"
"I haven't done this in quite some time," she said as she scratched her head. "I used to go into shinobi's dreams and have them teach me. But I'm six years out of practice, and I'm rusty at this whole thing, and well, you're right here, and you're a teacher."
"Alright," he nodded. This was a pleasant change of topic. Icha Icha appeared in his hand once more and he opened it up. "Come at me whenever you like."
"R-right now?"
"Aim to kill," he said. Memories of Team 7 came to mind. "And don't hold back."
Chiisai immediately flickered behind him. Kakashi turned and grabbed her arm before she punctured him with a kunai.
"Good," he nodded. "But you did the most predictable move you could."
Her body disappeared as a piece of a tree fell to the ground.
"Substitution," he said. "You seem to know the basics." He had no idea what her skill level was, and he was eager to learn it.
She came from above. Kakashi darted out of the way, but Chiisai was surprisingly fast, and they quickly came to blows. He watched her and retaliated with ease. Punch, jab, kick- their movements fell in a steady rhythm as they continued to fight under the tree of dreams. He still held Icha Icha in his dominant hand. He was far quicker than she was, but the more she moved, the more a rhythm she felt, and her movement were becoming faster.
A kunai flew in his direction to create space between them. He wasn't even out of breath but was still managing to enjoy himself. It was fun watching her mind work. He could tell she was regrouping and thinking of a plan.
"Your form isn't that bad," he said, "but your punches lack strength. You need to follow through with all of your movements." He snapped the book shut and lunged towards her.
Her eyes widened, and she ducked as he moved to grab her. They came to blows once more, with punches and kicks, and Kakashi jammed his elbow into her stomach. She flew back, cursing, and landed with her back on the ground.
Kakashi used the flicker technique and had his kunai at her neck. Her chest rose and fell in harsh breaths as she looked up at him, their faces inches apart.
"You're at a chunin level when it comes to taijutsu," he said. "How's your genjutsu and ninjutsu?"
Her body immediately turned into flames, and Kakashi drew back.
Right. Dream world.
Kakashi yanked up his headband and opened his eye. Though he could see through her abilities, he could just as easily over exert himself with the Sharingan.
She made several handsigns. He immediately recognized the Nara clan's shadow possession technique.
Her shadow reached out to him, and Kakashi jumped back. Her range wasn't very far, but she seemed to want the space between them. What attack would she do next?
More hand signs, and it was wind release. A long range attack.
Kakashi used a fireball jutsu in response, and it only grew wider when it made contact with her gust of wind.
Chiisai hurled herself through the fire with several hand signs. She certainly was gutsy- her clothes had caught fire. Smoke drifted off of her form as she used a water release.
He turned, and behind him, another Chiisai was in the air, using a lightning release.
It was a good combination, and it struck Kakashi from both sides. His eye constricted as pain ruptured his senses.
