Ch6: The Project
The next morning was a cold and wet day but I didn't care, I was filled with joy and warmth because I was in love. I woke up to a few new text messages from Tyler. I was so happy.
Tyler: Good morning Ams! You awake yet?
Amanda: Hey Ty. I'm awake now... whats up?
Tyler: I'm getting ready for school. I miss you a lot.
Amanda: Me too. Can I walk with you to school?
Tyler: Sure!! Where do you wanna meet?
Amanda: Can you come over to my house?
Tyler: Okay, see you then!
Amanda: Bye! Love you.
Tyler: Love you more! <3
I raced to get ready for school; eager to meet Tyler. I went downstairs to get some breakfast. But when I entered the kitchen I didn't see anyone there except for Alyssa. I sat on a chair and reached over to get some pancakes. But before I could, Alyssa rudely threw a piece of paper at me. I unfolded it and it read:
Hey Amanda,
Mom had to go somewhere this morning so I made your breakfast (I hope Andrew or Alyssa haven't ate all the food.) You should have your house key so you can lock up (if no one's there) before you go to school. Hope you have a great day!
From big bro Anthony
I quickly stuffed down the pancakes he had made, and went get my bag for school.
“Ahh!”
I ran downstairs to see Alyssa on the floor. Groaning she slowly stood up. I noticed a few bruises started to form on her arm. She must have fell hard.
“Are you okay?”
“What do you think?”
I rolled my eyes and went outside to wait for Tyler. I sat on the porch, while looking out into the distance. I waited outside my house for 5 minutes and when he didn't come, I started to worry. I stood up, ready to leave. He must have forgotten about me.
"Hey Amanda! Sorry I'm late," apologized Tyler.
"AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU SCARED ME!"
"I'm sorry."
"Don't ever do that again."
"I won't."
He put an umbrella over my head and said, "It's raining. I think you'll need this."
"Awe thanks. You're so sweet."
We walked to school together in the rain and just arrived at school in time. First block, we didn't have the same class, but it was okay. We had the same classes for the rest of the day. During first block; I opened up my phone and saw a new message.
Hey Amanda, how's school? How did you like the breakfast? Made it from scratch lol. Anyways, I talked with mom and got her to consider your boyfriend. What's his name again? Have a great day and good luck with him. - Anthony
Wow. Anthony is such an epic bro, better than Andrew. I was a little disappointed that it wasn't from Tyler but then again, he was in Mr. Lepp's class first block and he doesn't allow cell phones in class. I texted him back;
Hey Anthony thx. You da best bro ever...for everything from breakfast to talking with mom. Oh! Could you tell her that I'm going to his house after school to work on a "back to school" project? Thanks...btw, his name is Trevor. Luv ya =) - Amanda
Speaking of Tyler, I decided to send him a little text wondering how was class with "The Leprechaun." That was the little nickname that we had given Mr. Lepp's because he always dressed in green, was a little on the short side and plus, his name seemed like a short version of Leprechaun anyways.
Amanda: Hey T, how's the Lepp? Ms. M's not giving us a break. We gotta do "back to school" project and it's supposed to be with someone in ur class...I choose you. Is that ok? Miss ya :D
He didn't reply right away but I knew that was probably because he was afraid of getting in trouble again. Next block, we had chemistry together and I could tell right away he had missed me terribly because he wouldn't stop telling me that and he greeted me with a quick side hug. I was so happy to see him again too. We started planning our "back to school" project and I insisted that we go to his house after school and work on it. He found it a pretty good idea so after school, we headed over to his house, stopping at mine to pick up a few supplies we needed. I texted Anthony.
Amanda: Hey Anthony! I'm going to Tyler's house right now to do a project. I'm probably going to stay for 2 hours. Can you tell mom for me? I hope she's not still mad. Thanks Anthony!! Luv you!! :D
