Chapter 11 - Follow Your Heart
"I-uhh-I-I--"
"Well?"
"He's my...um... pfidsa."
"Your what?"
I didn't respond, I was already halfway up the stairs. What exactly are we anyways? Are we jsut friends? Or are we something more? I sighed in frustration and changed into my pajamas. I lyed down and closed my eyes, feeling tiredness come over me.

"Amanda!"
I looked around frantically but all I saw were tress. Where was I? I walked forward and all I could feel was dirt beneath my feet. My body chilled from the cold as I continued along the dirt path that was put out in front of me.
"Amanda!"
There it was. The voice called out to me once again. That voice was so familiar. I swear I heard that voice before! Then it clicked , it's Cindy! The voice is Cindy's! Just as that thought occurred and came across my mind; Cindy appeared in front of me.
"Cindy? What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to help you."
"With what?"
"Your problems stupid!"
"So...? Spill girl!"
"But why here and now?"
"I'll always come whenever you need me the most. Between your problems with Tyler and Kyle... you need lots of help! Come! Let's walk along this path while you tell me everything."
"I uh... well, Tyler is my first love. Remember when I left to go to Canada? He was there. He stood up for me. Just like you did. We started out as friends, but don't worry, I never forgot you."
I looked towards Cindy and she was nodding her head so I continued.
"We hanged out together after school and we talked a lot. Before I knew it, I started liking him. I think that was the biggest mistake of my life because he started to ignore me. But for what? He just ignored me after I made on small stupid mistake! I simply forgot! I tried to talk to him, I really did, but he wouldn't listen! Fortunately, thanks to Tyler, I met Kyle."
I stopped short, should I go on? I took a deep breath and continued.
"Kyle is smart, popular and really nice. He's a drummer and extremely hot. Like you and Tyler, he stood up for me. I think I'm liking Kyle too. But I dont' know what to do anymore! I don't even know who I like more! Tyler or Kyle? With Alyssa in the hospital and with my boy problems at school, I'm a wreck."
"Amanda you know what? Follow your heart and you would al--"
Cindy stopped talking and put a finger to her lips. I listened hard but I couldn't hear anything. I looked at Cindy with a confused expression and she just shook her head at me violently.
"No. No. No. Amanda, I have to go now. Remember, just do what you think is best. Good luck."
"Bu-- Wa-- CINDY!"
I ran off to the direction where Cindy went. Where did she go? She's nowhere in sight! I looked to my left and saw trees, I turend to my right and saw even more trees.
"CINDY? CINDY! WHERE ARE YOU?"
I ran farther along the path, searching behind every tree, but I couldn't find her.
"Please, Cindy, don't leave me again. I miss you."

I woke up with a jolt - panting from the sad yet horrible dream. I looked around and noticed the time, it was only 7pm and I decided to eat dinner. While I was eating pasta, I kept on thinking on what that dream meant. Surely, Cindy was meant to be there and help me. But she said to follow my heart right? Well right now my heart doesn't know what to say! I finished up quickly and went upstairs to do my homework. I was only 5 minutes into my algebra when I received a text.
*BEEP*
I looked over and grabbed my phone.
"Wanna hang out later? xx Tyler"
Why is Tyler texting me? Does he seriously think that I would give him a second chance now after what he did to Kyle? I quickly deleted the text and threw my phone on my bed, exhausted from today's events. Before I knew it, I fell into a dreamless sleep.
