They laughed and joked for a few hours, the bottle of rum slowly but surely reaching its end as they played a game of 20 questions.
"Who's your favourite member of Hellfire?" Ellie asked, her head feeling heavy from the drink, her vision slightly distorted.
The sun reached a low point in the sky, almost hidden behind the trees as it created an orange hue similar to the one she had witnessed that morning.
Eddie watched her eyes as she spoke, the light reflecting in them and making them look like they were glowing.
"Oh we're getting into the deep questions now." He joked.
"You've got to have a favourite." She responded.
"In terms of the actual gameplay, Dustin's my favourite player. He gets into it way more than anyone else and he's got the attitude to match." He told her, smiling as he remembered the time Dustin almost screamed the building down as his character died.
"I like Dustin, he seems lovely."
Eddie nodded as he thought of a question to ask her, "On a scale of 1-10, how drunk are you right now?" He asked.
"7" she laughed, "you?"
"About the same."
"There's only a couple sips left." She told him, eyeing the bottle.
"One for each of us!" He told her excitedly, grabbing the bottle and drinking half of the remaining rum. He passed the bottle to Ellie who gratefully took it.
"What do you want to do with your life?" She asked as she finished the rum.
"Hey! It's my turn!" He laughed, "same question back at you."
She grimaced at the burn hit her throat, and screwed the cap back on the bottle, placing it in the corner. "Tattoo artist." She told him.
"That's interesting."
"It's the only thing I can see myself doing."
"It seems like a pretty sweet job to be fair, have you got any tattoos?" He asked.
"Hey, my turn." She laughed, pausing as she struggled to think of a question. "Yeah, never mind, you go."
Eddie laughed, "Have you got any tattoos?" He asked again.
Ellie nodded, a big smile on her face as she lifted her shirt.
Eddie's eyes widened as she did so, watching the fabric reveal more of her skin, stopping just under the bra line, revealing a tattoo of a group of bats.
"No way!" Eddie exclaimed, pulling the sleeve of his jacket revealing a very similar bat tattoo.
"That's freaky as shit." Ellie told him, pulling her shirt back down.
"I didn't know I had such an influence on you." He replied, smirking.
"Oh yeah, I saw you from a distance and thought "this guy has sick tattoos, I'm going to copy them."" She joked.
"I don't blame you, it's hard not to notice a sexy guy like me." He laughed.
"Very true."
Eddie smiled, happy that she agreed even if he was joking.
All of a sudden the sound of a car door slamming nearby scared the shit out of both of them.
They looked at each other wide eyed before getting up and darting towards the window.
"Shit." Both Eddie and Ellie said as they saw three men in suits, carrying various weapons, and heading towards Reefer Rick's house.
"That's Jason, isn't it?" Ellie asked as they ducked down from the window.
