Chapter 10: Did not Work

Narrator's POV

Camila just finished her meditation in the early morning when Yolanda walked in. Yolanda took Leonardo's weapon, Ninjatos, and threw them to Camila. Yolanda then mutated into Splinter, her Leopard-Human self. Camila understood her master gesture. Splinter wanted Leonardo to fight her, or she wanted to see how far Leo's condition had improved. Once she got the Ninjatos, Camila mutated into Leonardo, her blue mature mutant ninja turtle.

"Don't go slow!" Splinter said.

Leonardo nodded and started to attack Splinter. They fought back and forth for almost an hour. Leonardo slipped a few times and got thrown once, but it did not discourage Leo. Leo did not stop and kept using all the skills and techniques he had learned and trained for years. They ended the fight when Leo managed to get Splinter on his chest where Splinter's heart was, but Leo stopped before Splinter was hurt.

Splinter smiled and admitted Leo's skills. "I can see your years of training result." Splinter changed back to Yolanda when they finished.

Leonardo was glad to hear that and returned to Camila, "Thank you, Mama Yo!"

"But you still need to get fit a little bit more..." Yolanda said. Camila's skills were undoubtedly great, but not her vitality. She had recovered, but her condition was not at its best and the fittest yet.

"Yes, Mama Yo! I know!" Camila put her weapons back in the place.

"You will get there, in less than a month." Yolanda believed so, considering how well Camila took care of herself and how frequently she trained.

"Yes!" Camila believed so.

"Mama Yo!" Camila wanted to talk to Yolanda about her concern.

"Yes, Mila?" They sat on the floor while waiting for others to arrive for training. Camila always woke up earlier than Lauren, Dinah, and Normani for meditation.

"The city is getting worse. Crime is increasing. Shredder will soon ruin the whole city. We can't stay still." Camila wanted to help her city and the people.

"Yes, She's such a Devil." Yolanda was thinking. "We have to stop them or at least slow them down for this moment, but we have to plan it well."

According to the information Normani and Kehlani collected, things were getting more complicated. Shredder was not just ruining the city. She also wanted to take over the city. She not only spread crimes in every corner of the city but also had spies in the government and police force.

"When we show up, do you think she will know that we are related to you?" Camila asked.

"If no, she will eventually find out, if yes, then..." Yolanda looked at Camila.

"Mama Yo, I just want to help. I don't mean to put you in danger." Camila explained. If their exposure would lead Yolanda into danger, she would reconsider it.

Yolanda smiled confidently, "If yes... I'm ready. It is inevitable, Mila. We are warriors. We don't run away."

Camila pursed her lips, "You are, Mama Yo! Four of us never went to war."

"Well... you started months ago." Yolanda referred to the attack in the racing area. Camila smiled weakly, "and all of you are doing good."

"Not good enough, I got shot," Camila said.

"You survived. You protected your sisters. They survived. That's a good start, Mila!" Yolanda encouraged Camila.
