Narrator's POV
Four of them finally went out and had their routine as the summer started. Yolanda reminded them to be careful when they were out there, especially Lauren. The police had not found out why the Shredder and team attacked the racing place. It was the first chaos they made in the city and followed by many others. The police force believed they did not attack a certain person. Yolanda with the help of Normani and Kehlani also did not find proof that they were attacking Lauren.
Lauren told Yolanda that Lauren did not have any enemies, but she did say that there were people at the racing place who did not like her because she had fame for her talent at racing. However, Lauren doubted that those who disliked her would do such a thing and related to Shredder. She said they could just take her down instead of creating massive chaos like that night.
Shredder and her team were still making in the city. The police force was busy with all the crimes, that happened at every corner of the city. People were suggested to stay home, especially at night when crimes tended to happen. Yolanda also asked her children to stay home in the evening unless they had essential or urgent things to do. It was easy for Camila and Normani, but Dinah and Lauren were bored with the rules. Dinah loved fun and party, while Lauren loved to hang out with her friends at the racing place, which was closed temporarily, clubs, or other sports centers.
Lauren and Dinah were talking about their upcoming birthday. Their birthdays were only five days away from each. They wanted to do something. They were thinking about what they could have if they could not go out in the evening after eight. Camila and Normani walked into the small living room on their bedroom floor when the two were fighting out what to do.
"What are you girls doing?" Normani asked when she saw Dinah and Lauren were on the sofa looking out of the window.
Dinah answered, "pondering about life."
"Oh," Normani looked at Camila, who shrugged. It was unusual to see the two quiet. They always moved around, talked, or did something, especially Dinah.
"Are you bored?" Camila asked.
Lauren and Dinah looked at each other, "Yes!!!" They turned around and slumped on the sofa.
Camila and Normani joined them on the sofa. Normani took the seat next to Dinah while Camila was farthest from Lauren.
"Mila, do you think Mama Yo will let us have a night out on our birthdays?" Dinah asked Camila.
"No, I don't think so." Camila guessed the two must be planning something.
"You can try and ask her!" Normani added.
"She mostly like would suggest you have the party at home," Camila said.
"Yes, better don't ask Mama Yo," Lauren said.
"Are you planning something for your birthdays?" Normani asked.
"Yes, we want to go out," Lauren said.
"You still can go out, just not in the evening," Camila said.
"But the night is more fun," Dinah said, "and Lauren here is freshly single. Time to find her a new girl." Dinah laughed, and so did Lauren.
Lauren and Camila subtly shared a look, "do you want to?" Camila asked Lauren.
"I... yeah but no... I mean I just want to hang out." Lauren said.
