(Y/n's POV)

It feels so surreal as I help to pack up the makeup and hair products and costumes. The cast have put months of their lives into this movie - the time, the stress, the late nights, the takes and retakes. Between them, they've probably consumed an inhumane amount of coffee. God knows how many cappuccinos I've made Martin.

Speaking of.

"Hey girl, how you feeling?"

"I'm good. You know, obviously a bit sad that it's all over, but to sit back and watch it all happen around me was just incredible. What about you? How are you feeling about all this?"

"Oh, you know, the same really. But then again, it's the end of one adventure and the start of another, right?"

"I suppose so."

"What's next for you?" He casually leans against the wall.

"Honestly? I have no clue. Haven't even started thinking about what comes next."

"Well..... I may have an opportunity for us."

"Oh yeah?"

"Well, now that I've got the experience observing the directing, I have the opportunity to shoot a film of my own."

"Oh my god! Martin, that's amazing!"

"I know, right? It's not gonna be huge, but for a rookie this is a pretty big deal."

"I'm so happy for you."

He shakes his head. "Girl, be happy for us."

I look at him questioningly. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, you little sugarplum fairy, that I want you to come with me! You're more than qualified to do costumes and makeup. And I don't mean helping out, I want you to manage to costumes team."

"What?" My eyes light up and I grab his arm. "Are you serious?"

"As serious as a dead man."

"Oh my god. I don't know what to say."

"Say yes!"

I want to. I really want to.

"Where are we even doing it?"

"That's the best part. We get to stay here!"

"In this studio?"

"Yep."

"That's fantastic!"

"So......" He looks at me expectantly.

"Of course, Martin. Thank you so much!"

He squeals a little. "Ah! I'm so happy. Okay, I have to go sort some stuff out, but I'll text you with more details."

"Okay, I should probably go find Jamie."

"You do that girl. Catch you later."

(Jamie's POV)

"Wait, really? That's amazing!" I say into my phone. "Mhmm...... Mhmm.... Yeah! It sounds great...... Right..... Yeah..... Wait, what do you mean?..... No I-....... I don't know..... Can I get back to you?..... Okay.... Yes, thank you."

I see y/n stood a bit away from me, waiting to come over.

I put my phone back in my pocket and try to give her a genuine smile.

"Hey," she says cheerfully. "What was all that about?"

"Oh, nothing important. I'll tell you later. What was all that about with Martin?"

"Well, I have some news. Martin is being given his own movie to direct, and he's asked me to front-run costumes and makeup."

"That's fantastic! Congratulations!"

"Thank you, thank you. And I'm so happy, cause he says we get to use this studio which means I get to stay here!"

My smile falters a little. "That... That is great news. I'm really happy for you."

"Thanks Jamie," she leans up to give me a kiss. "Anyway, you ready to get out of here? We need to go get ready for later."

"Uh, yeah. Can I meet you in the car? I just need to have a quick word with Lily."

"Um, sure. Everything okay?"

"Yeah, I just want to clear everything up. Don't want to leave it on a bad note."

"I think that's fair. Okay, I'll go wait in the car."

"Thank you, darling." I kiss her again before she goes.

Once she's out of sight, I make my way over to Lily.

"Hey Jamie," she doesn't look me in the eye.

"Hey Lily, I just wanted to talk to you before I went."

"Sure, what's up?"

"I just want to make sure we're good. I know a lot has happened between us, and things got a bit weird, but I have actually really enjoyed working on this movie together, and thank you for being so professional."

She looks at me, and her eyes look like they're full of pain.

"Yeah, I enjoyed it too. And what I said to y/n-"

"We don't have to talk about that."

"Yes, we do. What I said to her, I meant it. I know I shouldn't because you hurt me so, so bad. But I can't help it. Jamie, I'm still in love with you."

"Lily-"

"And I don't think you can honestly tell me that you don't still feel something for me too. I saw how you were looking at me when we were filming."

"Lily, I was acting. It's my job."

"Is that all it was?"

"Yes! I'm sorry, but I love y/n. I'm in love with y/n. I do really appreciate you and all the work you've done, but that's it. I don't feel that way about you anymore."

"Did you ever feel that way about me?"

I take a small step closer to her. "You know I did."

"Then prove it."

"What?"

"Kiss me."
