Chapter 22: Two Weeks Later

Y/N POV

It's been two weeks since me and Clem had sex and she has been a lot more clingy to me as of late. I love it especially when we give each other hickeys. The Delta hasn't attacked us yet and we're getting a little anxious.

CLEM POV

Me, Y/N and Mom have been discussing plans for the attack and we have came up with a good one. I look over the map one more time to review it. I then look over and see Y/N asleep on our bed with a smile on his face.

I yawn, undress then lay in bed with Y/N and rest my head on his chest.

Clem: Night teddy bear.

I fall asleep.

I wake up to the sound of a baby crying, and that AJ and Y/N are no longer in the room.

Clem: AJ, Y/N, Mom, Scarlett? Where are you guys?

I open the door and step outside my room. I follow a horse through the hallway.

Clem: Guys?

Y/N POV

I wake up to see Clem asleep on my chest. I smile and wrap an arm around her.

I look up and see AJ crouched on the dresser.

Y/N: What are you doing up?

AJ: Couldn't sleep.

Y/N: Okay but why are you on the dresser?

AJ: I don't know.

Clem: Guys?

Y/N: Huh?

CLEM POV

The end of the hallway is illuminated with a fiery glow, and AJ continues crying. The horse lies on the floor, dying. Gunshots are heard. I go to the end of the hallway.

Clem: AJ!

I open the door and step into the light.

Y/N POV

Clem is starting to sweat and panic...she must be having a nightmare.

I begin to shake her.

Y/N: Clem wake up!

Clem: AJ!

Y/N: Clementine!

Clem shoots up from off my chest and is heavily breathing.

Clem: [gasping] Uhhh!

Clem then looks at me with tears in her eyes

Clem: AJ...was...

I pull her into a hug and she cries into my chest and I rub her back.

Y/N: It was just a nightmare Clem.

We continue to hug then I pull away.

Clem: I'll be okay. Just give me a minute.

Y/N: Take your time.

AJ brandishes a knife.

Clem: Hey. What do you have there? Did you have a bad dream, too? You've been having them a lot lately.

AJ: I feel safer like this. Not sleeping. I wanna stay up forever. I probably could. Like, eighteen days. If I tried hard.

Y/N: I wouldn't do that if I were you.

AJ: Why not?

Y/N: BECAUSE YOU WOULD DIE!

AJ looks scared but then Clem smacks me in the back of my head.
