"Seems like my arms are too comfortable isn't it?"
I asked after ten seconds of waiting for her to taunt me.
"What?"
She looked at me with an irritated face.
Oh god!
People should really learn from her how to ruin an extremely pretty face by making such expressions.
"What what! It's been like ten seconds and you have still not taunted me. I mean, should I dance with you like this in my arms to celebrate this moment?"
I asked smirking and twirled her around almost immediately, just like old times.
"Wh-OH MY GOD!"
She screamed when realization hit her that she was being twirled around that too by whom? The hate of her life aka Dr.Ronobir Chatterjee aka me!
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING DR.RONOBIR CHATTERJEE! PUT ME DOWN! NOW!"
She ordered loudly with fingers clenched tightly against my shirt and eyes closed to death.
Oh how I loved this scared face of her whenever I twirled her. Being soulmates for years and then dating her made me know her in and out!

I had seen all shades of her. All.
The funny, cute, naughty Mishti, the fierce, bold, strong Mishti, the scared, helpless vulnerable Mishti and the caring, selfless, too full of love Mishti.
Even after years, I could still see through her.

"I swear if you don't stop at this instant am gonna bite you so hard Dr.Chatterjee that you are going to cry to death."
She said in an extremely, no-nonsense, cold voice making me stop.
If she uses that voice of her, it's your cue to stop.
Otherwise, she can tear you apart like a vampire.
"Okay okay okay, my fierce lady. Calm down, calm down."
I stopped twirling her and tossed her a bit like a ball to tighten my grip over her.
"You know what Dr.Ronobir Chatterjee? Just put me down! Now! Anyway you have always let me down, so this won't be something difficult for you to do again after all these years, isn't it!"
My jaw tightened hearing her.
That wasn't the first time she was taunting me that night but like they say, if you hit a rock repeatedly with a hammer, over and over again, it will break.
And so did I.
I had decided to just spend one evening with her so that I can hold onto her memories and live the rest of my life. I had made sure to not let her know anything about that night because she seemed happy at present. With someone else.
And love is not about being happy. It's about seeing the significant other happy.
So I too, though a bit jealous, a little heartbroken, was still relieved to see her happy but her repeated taunts, repeated accusations and obviously blood squeezing insults made me change my decision.
It was important for me to come clean.
To let her know, her Ronobir, never betrayed her.

I started walking in rage to the nearest tree ignoring her protests and constant commands to let her down.
Finally I let her down, ever so gently and caged her between my arms with her back against the tree.
"What do you think you're doing-"
She shouted but I leaned forward and placed my finger on her lips.
Quitening her and restoring the scary silence of that secluded place.
"Shhss"
I whispered dangerously looking right into her eyes.
Her face centimeters away from mine.
She went silent at once.
Perhaps the intensity of my gaze scared her because she immediately looked down.
But that was for a micro second.
She lifted her gaze up and matched mine confidently, waiting for me to explain the reason of being so near to her.
