When the bell rang for the end of last period, I went to the parking lot to meet up with Sebastian.

He was leaning on his car, with two coffee cups in his hands. He was talking to some other teammates, and he smiled when he saw me. When I came closer, some patted him on the back and went away.

I saw Courtney in the corner of my eye, and she looked furious, that girl really needs to chill the fuck out. He doesn't want her, understand that.

"Hey angel, here is a vanilla latte for you. Get in." He held my door open for me.

"I thought we were going to the café?"

"I said we will get coffee, I never said where. Come on."

We were driving for around 15 minutes when we turned on a parking spot just outside the forest.

"Come on, I want to show you something."

"You're not going to kill me, right? I mean, someone would surely see I'm gone." I joked, and he just laughed and shook his head.

I walked in front of him on a narrow forest path for a few minutes, drinking my coffee, when a big lake came into view.

"Do you like the view?" I heard Sebastian say behind me and I turned around happily, and I saw him chuckle lightly at me. "I'll take that as a yes then"

"It's beautiful!" I said as I walked to the brim of the lake.

"I come here when I want to relax and need some peace. Do you want to eat? I have strawberries and some cupcakes." He said as he took a box from his bag and set it on the picnic table.

"How many girls before me did you bring here?"

"None."

"Really? Why me then?"

He shrugged while unpacking the food. After eating and laughing at his lame jokes, we sat at the edge of the lake and watched the ducks playing around.

"I have an Idea." Sebastian said suddenly and stood up.

I looked up to see him smirking evilly as he was looking down at me.

I raised an eyebrow at him, "What?"

"Stand up." I didn't listen, so he continued. "Come on angel, it will be fun, I promise."

I slowly got up and stood in front of him with my arms crossed. He smirked even wider, and then he pushed me in the lake with all of my clothes on.

"Sebastian!" I yelled when I came to the surface. "You idiot!"

He laughed at me and an idea crossed my mind as he held my hand for me to take. I gripped his hand tighter and pulled him in the water beside me. I laughed when I saw his surprised expression.

"You will pay for that." He swam closer to me.

"No! Get away!" I said through my laugh as I tried to swim away from him.

He caught up to me soon and grabbed me around my waist, pulling me close, so my back was to his chest. I felt his hot breath on my neck as we stood there in silence, catching our breaths and laughing.

After a few seconds, he turned me around, looking me in the eyes and then averting his gaze to my lips. He started leaning in, and I froze. Just before his lips could touch mine, his phone rang from the picnic table.

He groaned and let go of my waist. "Terrible timing." And he climbed out of the lake, leaving me there, totally confused as to what was about to happen, and I didn't try to stop him.

I was still in the water when he ended the phone call, and he seemed upset. I climbed out, and he immediately wrapped a towel around me that he had in his bag. Did he plan to throw me in the lake?

"Come on, we have to go." He said, sounding almost angry.

The ride home was quiet, and Sebastian tapped his fingers on a steering wheel nervously.

"Is something wrong?" I asked him.

"No. Why?"

"You seem upset and quiet, you are never quiet."

He exhaled heavily and ran his hand through his still wet curls. "Just family problems, don't worry about it."

I nodded and stayed quiet. We arrived at my house soon, and Sebastian got out of the car to open my door. I never thought he was a gentleman, he even walked me to the door.

"I had fun today, angel." He lightly smiled, but I could see he was still upset from that phone call.

"Me too, the lake is beautiful. Thanks for sharing the place with me."

"Maybe we could..." He started, but got quiet when the front door opened, Adam looking from me to Sebastian questioningly.

"What the hell is happening here?" he asked, crossing his arms over his chest.

"We were just getting coffee, Adam, relax." I said, looking at him, annoyed about his behavior.

He scoffed, looking at Sebastian. "I thought I told you to stay away from my sister."

"She can make her own decisions, she doesn't need a bodyguard." Sebastian answered calmly and then turned to me. "I'll see you tomorrow at school."

I nodded and pushed beside Adam to get in the house.

"What are you doing with him, Jules?"

"We just grabbed a coffee, why does it matter?"

"First of all, were you drinking the coffee under a waterfall? And second of all, he is not a good man, don't fall for his games, Julia."

"We were at a lake, I fell in. Then tell me who he is!"

"Are you sleeping with him?" He asked, almost disappointed at me.

I looked at him with wide eyes."Adam, no! It was just coffee, geez, I'm not an idiot."

"Let it stay like this. Don't let him get in your head." With that he went to the kitchen and I went to my room.

I undressed my wet clothes and jumped under the shower, replaying today's events. I almost kissed Sebastian Reed. Sarah will freak out when I tell her. That moment, when Sebastian almost kissed me, replayed in my head over and over again.
