"Sebastian. Bash, wake up!" God, this boy is a heavy sleeper. I have been trying to wake him up for the last ten minutes and nothing. "Fine, then I will eat your birthday breakfast."

"No! I'm up, I'm up!" I looked at him angry.

"I can't believe you! You were awake already." He smirked at me and jogged to the kitchen to eat the food I made him.

"Wow, this is...yum." He said while stuffing pancakes into his mouth.

"Happy birthday Sebastian." I went to hug him and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "You're cute when you blush."

He just shook his head at me and continued eating. I fixed plates for Claire and Lizzie when they came down and wished Sebastian a happy birthday. Lizzie drew him a heart with way too much glitter on it, but it was so cute.

We had plans to have a nice dinner with his friend Sam, Sarah, Claire and Lizzie and Claire even made him a birthday cake. I know he feels bad for not being with his parents for his birthday, but he can't forgive them for everything they had done.

In the late afternoon Sarah barged in the house. "Happy birthday! What are we eating?"

We all laughed at her dramatic entrance and then she quickly hugged Sebastian and wished him appropriately. Just a few seconds later the doorbell rang and I went to see who it was.

"You must be the girl that Sebastian is crazy about." I laughed and blushed.

"I am Julia. You must be Sam?" I shook his hand when he nodded happily. I invited him in and he embraced Sebastian in one of those bro hugs.

I forgot Sarah and Sam don't know each other so I introduced them as well and then we went to eat. We joked about many things and talked about colleges we want to go to. As Sam went home, the rest of us sat in front of the TV and watched a disney movie that Lizzie picked.

My phone started ringing and it was my brother so I answered happily. I haven't heard from him in a week, he had tests and studied the whole time.

"Hey! Finally, I have missed talking to you." I said to him.

"I'm coming home in fifteen minutes, get dressed and wait for me outside."

"Why, what's wrong?" His voice was different, sad.

"Dad is in the hospital."

"What happened?"

"Car accident" He said in a whisper and I could feel the tears coming to my eyes.

"Shit! Do you know how he is?"

"He is in operation, the nurse just said to get there as soon as possible." There's something he isn't telling me. I hear it in his voice.

I started breathing heavily, feeling a panic attack coming, but before it started to be more intense, Sebastian ran to me and hugged me tightly. I started having panic attacks when mom died.

"Hey, Lia, calm down. Come on, breathe, slowly. " I calmed down a bit and Adam figured it was Sebastian's voice.

"What is he doing there? I thought I told you to stay away from him." He snarled on the phone.

"I told you my friend and his sister are living here for some time." I said before Sebastian would make something worse by talking to Adam himself.

"Yeah, a friend, not him...wait...does that mean that Claire is there?" I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at Sebastian. I guess he didn't know this either, he had this questioning look on his face.

"Umm..yeah. How do you know her?"

"It doesn't matter right now. Go dress yourself, I'm almost there." He said and ended the call.

I put the phone down and went to sit on the couch. Sarah paused the movie and immediately came to me.

"My dad is in the hospital. Adam is coming soon and we are going to see how he is." I cried on her shoulder.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry Jules."

I looked at Claire and her eyes were looking somewhere in the distance. I wonder how she and Adam know each other.

"Claire?"

She looked at me sadly. "Is your brother coming here?"

"We are going straight to the hospital, but I meant to ask you how you know him?"

She looked at her lap and nervously played with her fingers. "We will talk about this another time. You have to go now."

I nodded and ran upstairs, throwing the first thing that I had in the closet.

"I'm going with you" Sebastian said before I went out and I nodded thankfully. Adam will be furious but I don't care. I need Sebastian with me.

I can't lose my dad too, please be okay. Please. I cried the whole ride there, Sebastian holding me comfortingly.

When we came to the hospital, my dad was still in the operation room. They couldn't tell us details but it was bad. He had multiple inner bleedings, head trauma and a few broken ribs. That's what Adam didn't tell me, it was really bad.

We sat in the waiting room anxiously, hoping there would be some news soon. I would have lost my mind if it wasn't for Sebastian to calm me down every time I almost had a panic attack. It's like history is repeating itself and I hate it.

Since the day my mom died, I was scared that I would lose my dad too. This waiting here, and not knowing anything made me crazy. Adam paced back and forth across the hall and every now and then cursed under his breath.
