A few weeks passed by, with Sebastian and me just fooling around, stealing kisses in secrecy, and it was the best few weeks I ever had. He would sneak in my room at night and sneak out in the morning. We always just cuddled, because we were too exhausted from studying to do anything else.
In the morning, the first thing I saw was Sebastian sleeping beside me. I looked at his calm face, tracing my fingers on his face. "Sebastian, wake up. We have to get ready for school."
"Noo...let me cuddle you for a few more minutes. Or hours." I chuckled at how sleepy his voice sounded and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. I managed to break free of his grip and went to shower and dress for school.
It was the last day before spring break, and we planned to go to the lake house my parents bought a long time ago. We invited Sam and Sarah too, they got really close lately.
He was still in bed when I was all ready to go. "Sebastian! Go get ready or I'm going alone."
"I'm going, I'm going" He murmured and lazily got out of the bed with eyes barely opened.
"Hey, bitches! Ready for a great spring break?" We heard as soon as we sat in the school cafeteria.
"Sarah, if you say bitch to me one more time, I will drown you in that lake. Sam, you too if you keep chuckling." Sebastian said, and we all started to laugh.
Sarah has an obsession with driving Sebastian insane with her provocations, and he always reacts, which only encourages her to do so more.
I excused myself to go to the bathroom. The she-devil, as Sebastian referred to Courtney, blocked the door on my way out. "What do you think you are doing with Sebastian, bitch?" I was not surprised she attacked me like this, I knew she would be troubling when she was glaring at me all the time.
"Courtney, I don't want to fight, just let me go out."
"You think he will date you just because he is showing some interest? Well, you can forget about that. He is a player and soon enough he will come running to me. I would recommend you to back off before your little fragile heart gets broken. Understood?" She snapped at me. She is unbelievable, but she won't get to me.
"Sure, whatever you say. I have to go now" I pushed her to the side and went back.
"I had an interesting encounter with the she-devil in the bathroom," I said to Sebastian and Sarah when I sat down.
Sarah looked at me confused. "Who is the she-devil?"
"Courtney" Sebastian and I answered at once. "What did she want?" Sebastian asked then.
"She said I better get away from you before you break my heart. Oh, and apparently you are a player." I looked at him chuckling.
"I hope you know that was a lie. I told you she had been trying to get me since the start of the year. She scares the shit out of me." Sarah laughed with me when he said that.
"I would never believe what she says. And I know you are not a player, I have never ever even seen you with a girl." I kissed his cheek and started eating again.
"So..." Sam started talking when he sat down. "Who's bringing alcohol?"
Sarah immediately looked up when she heard alcohol. She loved drinking and partying. We agreed that Sam and Sarah get drinks, Adam and Claire get snacks, and me and Sebastian will buy some food that we can make there.
Later in the day, we all arrived at the lake house, and it was exactly as I remember. The small, cozy house, with a big terrace and beautiful garden with a lake just a few steps away. Lizzie ran straight to the tree house my dad made for us when we were little. This place brought up so many great memories and I felt overwhelmed, my eyes got teary.
"Are you okay?" Sebastian pulled me beside him. I smiled at him and nodded.
"Boys, help me with the bags in the trunk and set them up in the kitchen. Julia, Sarah, help me with the food." Claire said after a few minutes, and we all went to do what she said.
Claire sat beside me on the bar stool. "What's going on between you and Sebastian?"
"Nothing, why?" I looked at her, confused.
"Come on, do you think I don't hear him sneak in and out of your room almost every day? And I see the way he looks at you."
I felt my face heat up and I chuckled. "I thought we were being sneaky enough."
"Oh no honey. You can't hide love, everyone can see it on your face. It's obvious. Adam sees it too, he thought it would be better if you tell us, but I can't wait."
Claire said she sees it is love. Could it be that I really love Sebastian after so little time we spent together?
"Table is ready!" Adam shouted from outside, and we all went to sit on the terrace.
After the dinner, Sarah and Sam went on a walk around the lake while we settled in. Adam poked his head in my room. "We are going to the playground, Jules."
"I want to come with you, it will be fun seeing all that again."
He smiled, but shook his head. "Stay here with Sebastian. We can all go together tomorrow."
"Why can't I go?" I asked, confused and pouted.
"Stay here, okay, you won't regret it." He winked and went out.
After I organized everything in the closet, I went to find Sebastian downstairs.
"Bash? Where are you?" I yelled.
Suddenly, he covered my eyes from behind and walked me around the house in silence, not answering any of my questions. I felt a light breeze on my arms as we walked out of the house, and he let me open my eyes.
I gasped when I saw a small bonfire with a bunch of blankets and pillows around it.
"Did you do all this?" I asked Sebastian, and he nodded with a small smile.
"Claire found me all the fluffy stuff and Adam brought me wood, I just arranged all of it and sent them all away for the evening. Come on."
He led me to the blankets, and we sat down.
"What is the special occasion?" I asked curious.
He didn't answer my question, but passed me some marshmallows. We sat here, talking and laughing, for almost an hour.
"I can't think of a better way to spend my break than alongside you. You are gorgeous, Lia, inside and out. And you can't deny the fact, I look pretty good, too. If we got together, I think we'd be the sexiest couple around. Let's see if I'm right?"
I giggled at his words. "Is this your way of asking me to be your girlfriend, Sebastian?"
"No. This is." He took a small bag from his pocket and opened it, revealing a beautiful golden necklace with a diamond heart pendant. "Lia, would you be my girlfriend?"
"Of course, I would love to." I kissed his soft lips, and I realized I'll never have enough. He's everywhere up my back and over my arms, and suddenly he's kissing me harder, deeper, with a fervent urgent need I've never known before.
