"Yeah, that's not creepy, Steve murmured. I sighed, Steve's commentary was hilarious, but sometimes unnecessary. "What exactly are we supposed to be looking for in this shithole? He adds. Nancy replies, "We're not sure, we just know this house is important to Vecna."
It surely can't be a coincidence Victor Creel's home is important to Vecna. "Because Max saw it in Vecna's red soup mind world? Steve asked. "Basically, Dustin replied. "Look, what She saw... is important, I explain.
"Great."
"Maybe it holds a clue to where Vecna is, Dustin suggested. "Why He's back. Why he killed the Creels, and how to stop him before he comes back for Max." Deep down, I knew who he was. But I couldn't believe it myself. But, when I heard his backstory so long ago, I just blocked it from my memory.
For too long.
I looked around the porch, seeing if someone was in there. "We don't think he's in here, do we? I asked.
"Guess We'll find out, Ready?"
"Mhm."
To be honest, I could never do this by myself, so with my great friends, I felt like i could do this. Somehow, I still felt terrified. Trying to open the doorknob, Nancy says, "It's locked, Should I knock? see if anybody's home?"
"No Need, Robin replies, holding a brick. "I found a key." She threw it in the window, Steve managed to open the door. "They just left everything, Nancy notices. "I guess a triple homicide isn't good for resale value."
We kept walking around, until Max said,"Hey guys? You all see that right?" We all said Yeah. It kind of was odd, but Vecna was more odd by a ton. "Is this what you see? I asked. "in your visions?"
"I mean, it's just a clock, right?"
"Like a normal old clock, Steve said. "Why is this wizard obsessed with clocks? Maybe he's like, a clockmaker or something?" "I think you cracked the case, Steve, Dustin replied sarcastically. "All I know is, Nancy began. "The answers are here, somewhere."
"Okay, everyone stay in groups of two, Robin, upstairs. Come on, let's go."
Steve sighed heavily, I could tell he was getting annoyed. "Was that a sigh? Dustin asked. "No, I did not sigh, Steve denies. "Why'd you sigh? Dustin asks. "I didn't sigh, just come on, dude, Steve said.
"I heard you."
"We're just always partners, okay?"
"You have a problem with that?"
"It'd just be nice to, I don't know, mix it up a bit."
"I'm boring you? Is that it?"
"No, the opposite."
It was funny seeing them, they're usually pretty funny and kind of comedic relief for a lot of situations. But also the most helpful people in the bunch.
Max would be my partner and we continued looking around. I was glad I was partnered with her otherwise... I don't know honestly.
"Found anything (Y/N)? Max ask. "No, not yet, I sighed. What could be so important? What answers are hidden here?
So much was in my mind. Too many questions.
"Hey uh, Henderson? Steve asks. "Yeah? Dustin replies. "Could you maybe uh, clarify what sort of clues were supposed to be looking for? Steve asks.
Dustin responded in an British accent, "the world is full of obvious things, which by any chance ever observes."
In his usual voice he adds," Sherlock Holmes." "That's great, Steve replies. "Thanks, that's great. Really helpful, Sherlock." I roll my eyes, going closer to Max. "They seem quite bothered, I chuckle.
"yeah, even though they're the closest, She smiles, her flashlight gripped in her hand. I always admired Max, She was great and strong, someone i would want to be.
Something I noticed was the unusual amount of spiders, particularly black widows. "Try to stay away from the spiders, I told Max.
"Got it, Max says. "I despise spiders, anyways." "I just dislike them, I shrug. I used to be terrified of them, but to say the least, I'm more terrifying to them.
Plus, I have powers, what could possibly hurt me right? I'm not indestructible but still. We stepped over the spider webs as I kept going.
At least Max was with me, this house gave me the creeps and bad vibes, sounds kind of weird to say but true.
"Hey look, I say, finding a bedroom. "I wonder whose room this is." Max was dumbfounded. "Whoever lived in here must've been one of Creel's victims."
Or one of his children.
It was as if a young girl lived there, it probably belonged to his daughter then. Her stuff was still there. Nobody lived in this house since I assumed.
"It's very old, Max commented. "Yeah, I say, in awe. We looked around. This room might hold some answers.
"Maybe if we keep looking, we'll find something, I added. Max nodded."I agree, (y/n)." We heard Dustin and Steve so they must've been nearby.
Was it really the best idea to split up? Every horror movie tropes and everyone dies. But this isn't a horror movie, it's reality. And perhaps more scary than actual scary movies.
God, why did I decide to go back here at the worst time?
I shivered as the cold breeze hit through. The windows were boarded so it made no sense. Looking around, it was sad.
The little girl that lived here probably had no idea what her fate would be. But apparently they had only been in the home for a month.
I could still remember Peter telling me his background again and it made sort of sense. But I was really young so the words were blurry to me. "(Y/N), You won't believe what i found, Max said, standing in one part of the room.
My eyes widen in surprise, a journal. It certainly didn't belong to her, possibly her brother, who died too. Or so Victor claims. He could've been lied to. Sometimes, when someone goes to their lab, Papa faked their death.
But, he couldn't be too old. It was in the 50s when this happened. Instinctively, I took the journal. It might hold some keys for us to find, or better, some answers. From an outside perspective, none of this made sense. I've seen a lot.
Yet it still confuses me.
