Final chapter! I enjoyed making this book. If i make book 2, would you read it? let me know:)

"And Papa did hurt me, Vecna adds. "But he was no monster. He was just a man. An ordinary, mediocre man. That is why he sought greatness in others. In you both. And me. Hmm. But in the end... he could not control us, He could not shape us.  He could not change us."

I was pretty much frozen in fear, but i pretended that i wasn't. He couldn't know I was scared. "Do you not see, Eleven? Vecna asks. "He did not make me into this.  You did." She destroyed him years prior. I felt so weak for not doing anything but watching it play out.

Why was he still holding grudges?

 "At first, I believed you had sent me to my death to purgatory. But I was wrong. I was somewhere new. I became an explorer.  An explorer of a realm  unspoiled by mankind.  I saw so many things And one day, I found the most extraordinary thing of all.  Something that would change everything. I saw a means to realize my potential.  To transcend my human form. To become the predator I was always born to be."

My eyes widen. It was him this entire time. He controlled the mind flyer, he created it. I should've seen it coming. In fact, deep down It didn't surprise me. "It was...  It was you. Always you, El says. I was stunned, I had no words.

Being quiet was my best move, It seemed he wanted me to not say anything. Despite not wanting to listen, it might be the safest thing to do. "All I needed was someone to open the door, Vecna continues. "And you did that for me. Without even realizing it. Didn't you? And when you did realize, you chose to resist. So I sought a means to open my own doors. I sought... your power. So, don't you see? Once again, you have freed me."

"No. You don't have to do this. You can still stop this! She sobs. I begin to cry too, but his cold, wet finger caressed my cheek, it was so... uncomfortable. 

"It is over, Eleven. Your friends have lost. There is nothing... nothing you can do to stop this now. Hawkins will burn and fall.  And the rest of this senseless, broken world. And I will be there. I will be thereto pick up the pieces when it does. And remake it into something... beautiful. You..."

He turns his head to me, I whimper in fear when he adds, "You'll be by my side." I shook my head, resisting. But he says, "even by force." I couldn't. Was this the downfall of Hawkins? Everyone? Was he correct?

The visions.

Nancy saw everything. His plans for the new world. Hawkins was doomed. But his intentions to me, still were unclear. Even if it didn't seem so. Seeing Eddie being killed, it hurt me, I couldn't even get to know him.

Everything going horribly wrong. 

I didn't want it, but the connection was there. It wasn't something I liked, nor wanted. He knew it. It clicked. It was the reason why he did those nightmares, why he wants me by his side. I look over, now by Max.

"Don't be afraid. Try and stay very still."

His fourth kill. He wanted it to be Max. She resisted, but no use. He was stronger than any of us. Even El. Even myself. I look to El, we both knew we were doomed. She was crying, so was I. I tried to get out, but no use.

I just watched while he was beginning to kill her. El begins to choke. "El! Wake up! Mikes voice echoes. I told her to wake up too, but i knew it wouldn't work. He wanted to kill her too. I coughed when it went on my neck, but not to choke me to death, no, just to black out. 

We both kept coughing, El trying to get oxygen. I tried to think of good memories, Mike echoes, but even then, I know he doesn't love her. The doubt in his voice. I knew they wouldn't be endgame. But not for me, I moved on from him.

 Suddenly, the vines start letting go, We both were going to kill him, no matter what it took. Even if my powers might go, even if i die. I was willing to risk it. Together, he let go of Max, from us using our powers.

He was pressed on the wall. He told El,"you and your friends believe you have won. Don't you?  But this  is only the beginning. The beginning of the end." I was so dizzy, but heard him perfectly. 

"You have already lost."

" No. you have, We say in unison.  He bellows while vanishing into thin air. They were burning him, The plan was going into action.

♪ Do you want to hear about the deal that I'm making? ♪ 

♪ Yeah, yeah ♪ 

The world I was in, begins fading. He was gone. Or was close to. But my vision grew more blurry, my dizziness was growing. I was close to passing out. 

♪ Building, building, building ♪

♪ Building, building ♪

♪ And if I only could ♪ 

♪ I'd make a deal with God ♪ 

♪ And I'd get him to swap our places ♪ 

♪ Be running up that road ♪

The music echoed in my mind, but it turns distorted, i didn't know how, but deciding to give in, I just passed out. El yelling my name.

When I woke up, I was confused. I was in the lab once more. But it was long gone. I heard footsteps behind me, then a familiar voice whispered in my ear, 

"good morning, sleepyhead."
