"I just need to keep him busy long enough so that you guys can get into that attic, Max finishes. "Then you can chop his head off. Stab him in the heart. Blow him up with some explosive Dustin cooks up. I honestly don't care how you put this asshole in his grave. Just...whatever it is... whatever you do... try not to miss."
I nodded, not saying anything. Chopping his head off might be the thing that kills him. Who knows? "Check this out. The War Zone, Eddie says. "I've been there once. It's huge. They got everything you need for, uh...well, killing things, basically."
"You think fake Rambo hasenough guns there? Robin asked. "Is that a grenade?I mean, how is any of this legal?" "Well, lucky for us it is, so... Eddie responds. "This... This place is just far enoughoutside of Hawkins, As long as we steer clear of main roads, we oughta be able to avoid copsand, uh, angry hicks."
Even though I barely knew Eddie, I trusted him enough if Dustin could. "If we're trying to avoid angry hicks, Erica says. "maybe we shouldn't go to some store called the War Zone. "Normally, I'd agree, but we need the weapons, Nancy replies. "So I think it's worth the risk."
I sighed. "We don't even know if guns will even stop Vecna." "They might, Nancy replies. "Just taking risks." "But is it worth the time? Dustin asks. "It'll take all day to bike there and back." "Who said anything about bikes? Eddie responds.
"You got some car we don't know about?"
"It's not exactly a car, Steve. And it's not exactly mine, but, uh... it'll do, Eddie said."hey, Red, uh, you got a ski maskor a bandanna, something like that?" From the expression on her face, she must've had something.
--
I tried not to laugh when Eddie put on the Michael Myers mask, it worked, but still pretty funny. I couldn't believe we were stealing. But, if it works, it works. Somehow, we broke in. Eddie took the mask off.
"That was suffocating, He commented. We managed to go in one by one, but not the best experience i would say. "We better not get caught, I mutter. "We won't, (Y/n), Dustin assures me."Eddie is pretty clever."
I shrug, trusting his word. Normally, I wouldn't, but right now, we kind of needed to. It was worth it seeing the owners pissed off, now homeless pretty much. But i understood. Still priceless expressions.
"Shit, they look pissed, Steve says. Robin pipes in, "It's not every day you lose your house and car in one fell swoop." Somehow, we got away. They'll probably get another anyway. But i zoned out once more. Which couldn't be good.
When i was the most vulnerable, he invaded my mind. I needed to block him this once more. I snapped back to reality when Dustin called my name. I turn to him. "Hm?"
"You zoned out again."
"Oh sorry."
"It's fine. But you're okay right?"
I nodded. He was fine too, thank god. Seeing Steve chat with Nancy, I kind of sensed he still liked her, even though i thought we moved on from that years prior. Hearing Max's plan, It seemed genius. You control your own mind. Nobody else. Not even Vecna.
So it could work.
I just stared at the window, it seemed like hours rather than minutes. I wondered if El was okay. If so, where was she now? I regretted leaving her behind in California. But with Mike, She could be fine right now.
I don't know.
We quickly arrived, and rushed inside. I didn't like it already. I guess i wasn't into guns and stuff. but still felt odd. "So much for avoiding angry hicks, Robin commented. "Let's be... fast, Nancy suggested."Yep."
"Definitely."
I frown, feeling odd but brushed it off, sticking by Steve and Robin, might not be the best ide, but good enough. "How many of these do you think we need? Robin asks. "Five or six, Steve replies. I nod, Robin getting quickly distracted.
"What are you gonna do? Stand and gawk?"
"Shut up."
But turns out, the girl Robin was into, had a boyfriend. I frown. "I'm sorry, Robin." She tells me it's fine, but it hurt her, I could tell. She noticed Robin, looking sad herself, kind of. I didn't know. Deciding to go with Erica instead, i walked with her. Until we both saw Jason. Shit, I thought, looking over to Erica.
She seemed to be feeling the same. But he seemed ordinary, what could possibly be terrifying about him? Even if i herd he was insane. He looked pretty normal, too. I sighed. This might not end well if i continue gawking for some odd reason.
Putting my focus on looking for weapons, We move, but see his goons hear too. More of them. We rush out of the store, going in the RV. "What happened? Lucas asked. "Gotta go, Steve says. "Your old friends are here, Erica tells Lucas.
"Shit!"
"Let's go! Let's go!"
"I'm going! I'm going! Sit down!"

I sighed of relief. "That was close." Erica nodded. We found a grassy area and stopped there. Good, because honestly, We needed fresh air. Trying to help out wasn't the easiest, but i managed.
Maybe Nancy was right. These might just kill Vecna once and for all. Looking over, Eddie seemed to be having fun of their own. I smile softly. It was nice to see some fun right now. They seemed very close.
So, I knew we could trust Eddie.
I continued helping with Max. But then, I saw him. Papa, in my mind, He was dead. Bloody and everything. In the desert too. I could only assume El got out of there. Once i got to reality, my breathing got heavier.
"(Y/N)? are you okay? Max asks worriedly. I shook my head."No, I saw Papa dead. The one who put me in the lab. I think El is fine. Which is relieving." "She'll be fine, Max replies. "But something bad happened if you saw it."
I nodded, changing the subject focusing on making these weapons. Somehow, instead of sadness, i felt relief Papa was gone. It felt wrong to feel relief, but i still felt it.
