so i am just going to make mike come back early on so i could get this story going yk?

By now, it was very dark, I knew i wouldn't get in trouble for this by my parents. Hopper, who adopted me, was gone, Joyce busy on some trip. "Dustin? Can you slow down? Dustin? Eddie said, as we were walking behind Dustin, relying on his compass. 

He better be right, I thought, continuing on walking. "I think we're getting close, Dustin yells softly. "Thank god, I can't walk any longer, I whine. "Watch your step, big guy, Eddie tells Dustin. "Oh man, Steve sys."You gotta be shitting me." "I was thinking the same thing, I tell him. 

I just stood there, we were fall dumbfounded, of course besides Dustin. "I thought these woods were familiar, Eddie replies. " Lover's Lake, Robin spoke. "This is confounding, Dustin said. "There's a gate in Lover's Lake? Max asked. 

"Whenever the Demogorgon attacked, it always left an opening, Maybe Vecna's the same way," Nancy explains. "Yeah, only one way to find out, Steve replies. They took off the covering, reveling the boat. The one Eddie went to land on. 

"Easy. I... I said easy, man."

"Sorry, Dude."

I just watched beside Dustin, Lucas and Max as the older ones got on. "Here you go, yeah, I'm just gonna do that, Robin says." Thank you."

"Yeah, that works too, Good, you got her."

"Wheeler."

"Thanks."

I cross my arms. "There is no way I'm going on. I would, if i had a death wish or something. You guys go on in the gate." I mostly didn't get on, so i didn't have to confront Vecna.

Dustin tried to get on himself though, but not before Eddie said,"Hey, hey, hey, you trying to sink us? This thing holds three people tops, okay?" "It's better this way, okay? You guys stay here with Max, Nancy tells us.

I simply nod, not too bothered by this plan. Dustin, however, did seem annoyed. "Keep an eye out for trouble, She adds. "You keep an eye out, Dustin commented. "It's my goddamn theory." "You heard Nance, Robin replies.

"Who put her in charge? Dustin whines. "I did, Robin responds. Dustin unwillingly gives his compass to Nancy, I chuckle seeing him so bothered by this. "C'mon, it isn't funny, He whines once more. I chuckle once more. "It kind of is. You're acting 11 again." Dustin sighs. Steve hands him the bag before getting on. "You said three! Dustin argues. Steve whispers, "Sorry."

"Bedtime at nine, kiddos. Miss you already!"

We just stood there, while they went further out on the lake. I just hoped they'd be okay. I bit my lower lip nervously. I stood there impatiently. "Wait, wait, wait. They're stopping. What are they stopping for? Lucas asked, seeing them through the binoculars.

Dustin, using the walkie, asks, "Guys, what's going on? Come on, talk to me. What's going on?" Robin replies,"Uh, Dustin, your compass has gone from wonky to wonky with a capital "aah!" I just was worried of being caught by police.

Which seemed possible, considering someone died here. Then, Lucas commented,"Ugh. When'd Steve get so hairy?" "Right? I keep telling him he needs to tame that jungle, but he claims the ladies dig it, Dustin replies. I half-jokingly reply, "I dig it." Dustin snickers, Max says, "Let me see."

She grabs his binoculars before Lucas says, "What?" She looks into them herself, Dustin tells me, "Your crush on Steve was kind of obvious, (Y/n)."

"I do not have a crush on Steve!"

"You basically confirmed it."

"Seriously, I was joking!"

For some seconds, it was awkward silence. "You guys realize, if there's a gate down there it's technically a water gate, Dustin pipes in."Watergate."

Dustin laughs weirdly, we just give him weird looks. He kind of was being weird, per usual. Dustin, using the binoculars says, "Come on, Steve. Come on." Suddenly, we heard police exclaim, "Down by the water!"

"Shit. Down! Shit. Shit."

"It was on this shoreline."

I mentally scold myself for not going on with them, well, they would've refused anyways. "Cops.  Max said."-Shit, shit, shit, We can't let 'em find Eddie, Dustin whispers. I nodded. They would send him to prison for sure.

"Stay with me, Max whispers, then yell,"Hey, officers!" "Max! Lucas whispers. She continues, "Over here! I found the killer! This way!"

"Shit."

"Go!"

We began to ran, how did they even get here in the first place? I wish i knew why. We kept running but Dustin fell somehow, getting found by Police. However, me,lucas and max kept on going, but not for long. 

"Shit! The three of us spoke at once. Once of the police spoke to Dustin,"Hey there." We were for sure screwed now.

His voice tormenting me in my own mind, it frustrated me so much. I just said nothing, still standing there. They kept asking questions, but i just was silent. They'd never believe us. As we went back, I just looked out the window. They didn't seem to recognize me. 

Which was good, I didn't want them to recognize me. When i noticed where we were, It was the Wheeler's. Why their house out of every place? Weird.  Get out of my mind, I thought, not wanting unnecessary attention. 

Why should I? You need me, don't you, (Y/n)?

No, I don't, I thought once more. Stop thinking that, you killed people. Here, and in the lab. And why? No motive.

I didn't know exactly what he meant, but i knew it couldn't be good. I sat in-between Dustin, Lucas, and Max. "We're just going to ask some questions, okay? The police chief says, so we nod our heads.

Why not do this privately or something? Even though we were completely Innocent. Once more, I mentally scold myself for not going. Something tells me they were going in the gate. Couldn't get why, but they probably did. 

Possibly, they found Vecna. 

His voice kept mocking me, over and over, like i did something to deserve this. But what did i do?
