Chapter 13

Hey guys! Am I late this time? I can't tell at the moment but I hope I'm not. Anyways, here's this and read on!!

When the assembly started and Eren was in the principals office.

"Eren, this year, we're going to do a little shift in your schedule." The man said. Eren nodded slightly, wondering what his name actually was. Through all his time, he never learned it. Odd, right? He glanced at the plaque on his desk, black with a gold outline with his name on it. 'Mr. Sizzle' Wait, what? Mr. Sizzle? How could I not remember that!? Eren furrowed his eyebrows, then Mr. Sizzle himself waved his hand in front of the boy's face.

"Are you alive over there?" Mr. Sizzle asked, raising an eyebrow at Eren.

"Sorry, I was just lost in thought." Eren apologized, waving it off with a flick of his wrist. Mr. Sizzle continued talking about his new schedule. He wouldn't be taking Spells 2 any more or History/Lore. But through it all, he still had Math. Who even needed math anyways! It's not going to help him find Grisha, so why?

"Alright, well, you're free to go. I'm surprised we got done so early, there's still some of the assembly left over. Well, go on and join it and have a nice day." Mr. Sizzle said, waving as Eren stood up with Astro and walked out of the room. He walked out of the main building and to the theatre building where the assembly was being held. When he walked in, a few students turned around and gave him a questioning look but then turned back to Mr. Pixis who was on stage.

"-And then, we have the dorms. The dorms were already assigned to you all, but I'm going to go over a few rules. You may have people over during the day but at night, opposite genders are not allowed. Can't have anyone doing the frickle frack on campus, if you know what I'm saying." Mr. Pixis wiggled his eyebrows suggestively.

"What if I'm a girl?" Eren heard someone call from the audience. Mr. Pixis gave a questioning look then Connie stood up dressed as a girl. He was wear thigh high stockings, a short dress, a long, blonde, curly wig and his face was covered in makeup. Mr. Pixis narrowed his eyes as Connie flicked his wrist then walked out to the isle. "I used to be a boy and now I'm a girl, does that count?" Connie asked, walking onto the stage, wearing stilettos.

"Well, I guess so..." Mr. Pixis trailed off, narrowing his eyes towards the female Connie. Connie made a high pitched, 'Hmph' noise and flicked his hair off his shoulder. He must've hit it too hard because it went flying and hit Mr. Pixis in the face.

"Uh oh..." Connie said then took off running. Mr. Pixis growled then chased after the sprinting wizard. Everyone turned around in their seats and watched as Connie nearly fell as he turned a sharp corner, Mr. Pixis following his lead.

"Dismissed!" Jean yelled and everyone left. Once everyone was out, Eren caught up with his friends, plus Levi and his group.

"Anyone see Robin?" Jean asked, looking around for his familiar. Eren smirked as Robin began flying in. He landed on Jean's head, causing his to squeal, stop, drop and roll. Eren and Connie, who seemed to appear out of nowhere, both burst out laughing. "I-I- That was on purpose! Practice for fires! You never know when someone is going to spontaneously combusts or something!" Jean said, quickly scrambling off the ground.

"Go take a shower, you're filthy." Levi snapped, pulling hand sanitizer out of his pocket and squirting some in his hands before vigorously rubbing them together. Jean raised both his eyebrows before just brushing himself off.

"We should all go do something! I mean, school doesn't really start until tomorrow and since we're all here, let's go do something!" Hanji grinned, hanging her arms around Petra's and Levi's shoulders. Levi shoved her off, scowling at her while she just grinned in return. Astro barked, jumping around a bit.

"Hold on boy." Eren chuckled, squatting down and patting the demon's head.

"We should go to the library. I heard they go new books on the mortal world." Armin grinned. Eren grinned as well, nodding his head as he stood up straight with his blonde coconut of a friend. Everyone agreed and they walked to the library. The same library Eren had slept in with Levi just the night before. When the entered, Armin and Reginale instantly went off to the Mortal section, Eren following close behind. Everyone else walked around, looking at books they found interesting while Connie teased Jean about Pony books they had.

"Oh! Eren, look at this one!" Armin whispered, pulling out a hardcover book, the cover being red. He opened the book, reading over the first page. "It seems really interesting. There's so much about mortals..." Armin trailed off. He continued reading and he turned the page, a confused look taking over his face. "Eren?" Armin asked. Eren leaned over his shoulder, seeing strange symbols, like the ones he found on his door.

As if his body had a mind of it's own, he reached out and touched the symbols. He instantly felt the waves of electricity shoot through him. He stiffened up before shaking at the sheer amount of power it held. It was stronger than the one before, it hurt more. He head felt like it was going to explode, his nerves going on overdrive and everything he touched or that was touching him was a searing pain. Almost as if the items were made of fire.

He opened his mouth to scream, but nothing came out as he fell backwards. He felt himself continued to shake before his world began fading into black. The sense of nothingness came back as he just laid there.

"Eren, I see you've made it. Did you find anything interesting? Meet anyone? Make some new friends?" Grisha's voice asked him.

"Yeah, how did you know?" Eren asked, looking around for the source of the voice.

"Because I'm watching over you, my boy. After all, it's my job. As usual, I don't have much time. But here's another clue. I'm much closer than you ever thought me to be." Grisha's voice faded away and Eren felt himself falling. He looked behind him, towards the ground and saw that in fact, the ground was rushing at him faster than he liked.

He let out a scream but someone grabbed his shoulders. He snapped open his eyes, looking around with a terrified look. He could hear rapid beeping as his eyes settled on the figure holding his shoulders. Levi...

"Oi, brat, calm down." Levi said, clutching his shoulders just a bit tighter. Eren looked at him for a moment before he nodded, taking deep breaths and struggling to calm his rapid heart.

"Is everything okay in here?" A nurse poked her head in the door. Levi nodded, waving her off and Eren took the moment to look around. He was in the small hospital on campus. White room, big window, a bench, another empty bed next to his, white walls and the almost sickening smell of disinfectants. He scrunched up his nose at the smell, then the door was pushed open once more.

"Eren!" Armin cried, running over and practically throwing himself onto the boy. Eren gasped at the sudden action, but hugged Armin back nonetheless.

"What happened?" Mikasa asked, walking over and gently taking a hold of his hand. Eren sighed, closing his eyes and falling back against the surprisingly comfortable pillows.

"Nothing. It's fine." Eren lied, moving his left hand up to his chin. Mikasa narrowed her eyes, settling for a worried glare.

"Eren, stop lying to me. I know you're hiding things and it's time you came clean. To all of us." Mikasa said, never dropping his hand. Eren opened his eyes, seeing all of his other friends in the room as well. Suddenly feeling the breeze on his arms, he looked down and found his forearms to be bare. Scars showing freely. Eren's eyes widened as he quickly ripped his hand away from Mikasa and hid his arms under the white blanket with a yellowish tint.

"Eren, we already know. We don't think any different of you but... But why didn't you tell us sooner?" Marco asked, walking over and placing his deeply tanned hand on Eren's shoulder. Eren looked away from the questioning eyes, focusing on staring out the window instead. Eren took a deep breath before beginning to tell them all everything.

Eren, stop touching stuff! So, how was it? The secrets out! But I'm honestly trying to get back on the roll of weekly updates and guess what. This story is going to be quite a bit longer than what it was originally. So I'm going to have to use a computer and load over the rest of the chapters then we'll be all set!
