Chapter 26

Hello again! Is this one actually on time? I don't even know anymore. Anyways, read on!

"What happened?" Jean asked. Eren took a deep breath, looking away and Astro whimpered softly.

"Well, a lot happened." Eren started off with a dry chuckle. "It was the day I told Mikasa I was sick. Honestly, sorry Mikasa but I wasn't. I was going to go check out that house in the woods. Because when we all went there, Grisha talked to me in my head. He told me he was there, but I got such a... Such a terrifying feeling I didn't want you guys to be there incase something went wrong. I didn't want Astro there either but he just came anyways. And look what happened to him." Eren said, running his fingers over the scar Astro had on his belly.

"I got new scars in those two months. Too many to count and I found out theres a lot more ways to hurt someone then I knew possible. I think I had a lobotomy too. Once or twice, it's a miracle I still have my eyes." Eren chuckled, making them wince. "I nearly died a few times and I can't say I know why I didn't. Because I don't. But I do know, the day you guys came and saved me, I was ready to give up. I was ready to die, and I had been for a while. But there was still that tiny shred of hope, you know?" Eren asked, looking up and meeting everyone's eyes. "Just that one shred Grisha couldn't smother. It was like a burning ember, and you guys started my fire." Eren explained.Eren explained, not going into much detail, about his life with Grisha for two months and it was a painful experience for all of them. But they were glad to have it done. It was a few weeks more until Eren was finally able to leave the hospital, but he still came back for check ups every week. He started up school again and fell back into his routine but he was closer to everyone.

"Oi, Eren." Levi called. Eren looked up from his book as Levi walked over.

"Hey, Levi." Eren smiled as Levi pulled up a seat next to him.

"What are you doing later today?" Levi asked. Eren thought about it for a moment before answering with a simple, "Nothing." "Good, because I want to take you out to dinner. I'll pick you up at say, eight. Dress in comfortable clothes." Levi said, stood up then walked away. Eren sat there for a moment, soaking in what had just happened before his face went red and he squealed into his hand, muffling the sound.

He packed up his book, leaving the library and running to Armin's dorm. He threw open the door, startling the blonde from where he sat on his bed with a book.

"Armin! Armin! Oh my God, guess what just happened!" Eren yelled, jumping on Armin's bed.

"What? What happened?" Armin asked.

"Levi asked me out to dinner!" Eren squealed. Armin jumped up and squealed with them and they jumped around on his bed for a few minutes before hopping down and sitting. Then, Eren's nerves finally set in. "I have no idea what to do. I've never been on a date before! Oh, mother of Freckled Jesus, I'm going to die!" Eren cried, throwing his hands into the air. Armin grabbed his shoulders, gripping tightly as he looked Eren directly in the eyes.

"Eren Jasper Jaeger, you're going to survive this and come out of it with a boyfriend and a second date! Now, what did he tell you?" Armin asked.

"To dress comfortably and that it would be around eight." Eren said, slightly scared of Armin's commanding voice. That sound just doesn't come out of someone as small, girlish and cute as Armin.

"Okay, let's find you some clothes then." Armin said. He grabbed Eren's hand and dragged him over to his dorm. They went inside, up to his room and Armin began digging through his closet. After too many hours, they finally settled on loose, faded jeans and a black t-shirt. Sure, he scars would show but he didn't care that much for the time being. He would probably throw on a blazer or something later. He got dressed, then looked at the time.

"Seven fifty! Oh lord!" Eren cried, rushing down stairs. He pulled on his shoes as Armin came rushing down stairs with a black hoodie.

"Here." Armin said. Eren grabbed it and pulled it on over his head as Armin rushed over and tried to tame his unruly hair. After a few moments, a knock at his door came. Astro rushed down the hall, wagging his tail and barking at the door as Reginale flew in and perched on Armin's shoulder.

Eren reached the door handle and opened it to reveal a casually dressed Levi, who still looked hot.

"You look nice." Levi complimented as he gave Eren a once over. Eren felt his cheeks heat up slightly as he stuttered out that Levi looked very nice as well.

"Well, you two get a move on. I'll be waiting, have him back by whenever!" Armin grinned, pushing Eren out the door and holding Astro in.

Aww! Time for these cute dorks to have a date! Anyways, how was it? Short, I know, but I'll try for a slightly early update. And got those of you who have read my short stories, I'm sorry I haven't updated but once dividends come in, I'll buy a laptop and be able to work a whole lot!
