Chapter 29: An Eventful Day

The sky gradually brightened up as people awoke one by one to prepare themselves to start their day.

As usual, Xu Qin woke up early and then followed his usual morning routine. The instant he arrived at the gym, he immediately met with Xu Ming who was currently working out. 

It somehow already became a routine for the two of them to work out together in the gym early in the morning every day, therefore, Xu Qin was no longer surprised and went to do his things without saying a single word to the other party. 

To be honest, Xu Qin still did not figure out how to deal with Xu Ming after their previous conversation. Since he was a businessman, it was in his nature to consider the pros and cons before deciding to do something. 

However, this time Xu Qin found himself having a hard time accepting his previous decision.

Arriving at this thought, out of the corner of his eyes, Xu Qin glanced at the figure who was running on the treadmill while staring down at her phone.

Seemingly been here for a while, her hair was damp, letting some strands of hair stuck close to her bare face, this however did not diminish her attractiveness even one bit.

Staring at her current face, Xu Qin realized that in the past, he seemed to rarely see her without makeup. 

Even at home, Su Ming always put on elaborate makeup and dressed up in brand-name clothes to the point that he was wondering how she could deal with that every day.

Perhaps she did not even consider this to be her home thus she needed to maintain her 'beautiful image'.

At this thought, Xu Qin gave a helpless smile since even the current Su Ming did not consider this to be her home.

‘’Do you have something?’’

Hearing the familiar emotionless voice, Xu Qin instantly snapped out of his thoughts and found that Xu Ming was staring in his direction.

Having been caught sneaking glances at another person, Xu Qin gave a light cough,’’… Nothing.’’

Xu Qin quickly averted his gaze pretending that nothing had happened. On the other hand, seeing his flustered reaction Xu Ming simply raised an eyebrow and then turned his head back as he put down a question,’’ Have you already listened to the recording?’’

Having been asked this question out of nowhere, Xu Qin briefly paused before recalling that Xu Ming indeed sent him a recording before she went to bed last night.

‘’Not yet. Is it urgent?’’

To his reply, Xu Ming stopped the equipment before casually wiping his face with a towel as he made his way out,’’ Not really.’’

Hearing this Xu Qin had a face full of question marks as he watched that figure’s back disappear from his sight. Curious, he quickly pulled out his phone and went to play the recording.

The moment the recording played, Xu Qin immediately heard his daughter’s voice start dissing his little brother followed by his little sister.

‘’Uncle is a crane fly since he mostly appears around the late winter or early spring. Aunty is a monkey since she behaves like one!’’

Xu Qin,’’……’’

‘’ Grandpa is a golden retriever; his face seems to always be smiling and he is obedient around Grandma! Grandma is a peacock, she likes to show off! Meanwhile, Great-grandpa is an elephant, he is big and intimidating but he actually afraid of a mouse!’’

Xu Qin,’’……’’

‘’ Say about your father again.’’

‘’He is a polar bear!!!’’
