Chapter 36 : Contemplate

Xu Ming came back inside his room and then closed the door before walking into the vacant dressing room.

The original Su Ming liked to use perfume so whenever he was inside, he always smelled it causing him to have a headache. 

That's why all of Su Ming’s clothes as well as the jewelry were left to the butler to deal with them before thoroughly cleaning the room to get rid of the scent.

Xu Ming, himself, did not have many clothes as he was going to leave soon anyways which resulted in the dressing room becoming empty after he’s done packing up yesterday.

Tomorrow was the day that he was going to leave this house.

It was hard to believe that he remained for a bit over a month in this house.

Initially, it was because the little girl reminded him of himself in the past so Xu Ming decided to stay a bit longer. It was supposed to be the sole reason to keep him here but now he found himself wavering over the little girl’s father too.

He couldn’t help but wonder whether he was in debt to this father-daughter duo in another past life or what.

Now, he couldn’t even be harsh to Xu Qin after knowing what he went through in the past…

In the end, Xu Ming’s eyes lingered a bit more on the suitcase before shifting his gaze away as he started to unbutton his shirt preparing to take a shower.

Xu Ming did not ask Xu Qin about his working projects since, after all, he was in no place to do so.

He was the one who told the other party not to be concerned with each other so it did not make any sense if he were to suddenly interfere with his work all of a sudden.

However, this did not mean that he did not trust Cain’s speculation.

Cain’s worry was indeed understandable. Knowing Xu Yao’s character, he really wouldn’t let such an opportunity pass by. Perhaps, he has already contacted Xu Qin as we speak.

The Xu group that Xu Ming worked hard to rebuild might not remain the same in Xu Yao’s hands anymore, not to mention, the Old Master who was preparing to do something from behind the scene, it would be best not to concern oneself with them lest getting dragged into the trouble with them.

Initially, Xu Ming planned to cut ties with the current Xu family because he was thinking of paying a visit to the gang. However, after hearing Cain’s report about the situation on their side, Xu Ming changed his mind and left the two to their demise instead.

After all, at the end of the battle, there would be no victor emerged.

However, Xu Ming did not expect a variable to happen to which he couldn’t help but need to revise his plan.

It did not take long before Xu Ming finished his shower just in time to hear the door being knocked.

Still in his bathrobe and with damp hair, Xu Ming went to open the door and immediately met with Xu Qin who was stunned upon seeing his current appearance.

Since this situation was similar to how they first met each other after she’s just gotten back from the hospital.

Recalling that awkward situation, Xu Qin unconsciously explained himself,’’ This time, I knocked.’’

Xu Qin always had good manners but that day, the maid reported to him that she might’ve hit his daughter so he was already angry enough as he was but after hearing that she was even in the mood to tell the servants to bring her food into the room, he was simply beyond furious.
