Contrary to his thoughts of meeting with the other person’s struggle, the said person just obediently laid in his embrace.

At this strange reaction, Xu Qin couldn’t help but glance down at her sleeping face. She usually had a cold face and unapproachable aura but at this moment, her expression softened a lot as she was quietly sleeping just like this.

Under the gentle moonlight, her beautiful face seemed to be plated with a layer of silver. Her long eyelashes faintly quivered while her rosy lips slightly parted, with a faint blush on her cheeks she looked completely harmless and unbearably adorable.

The normally stern and cold person suddenly turned into this sort of image would inevitably have a fatal charm which others found it hard to resist, even Xu Qin was not an exception.

Upon seeing this kind of Xu Ming up close, Xu Qin found himself unable to tear his eyes away from her.

If the others were to see this scene, they would think that the man was quietly gazing at his lover's sleeping face like wanting to imprint this image in his heart.

All of a sudden, the person in his arms slightly moved her head causing the tip of her nose to graze against his chest. His heart made a loud thud to which this finally snapped him back to his senses.

Only then did he realize that his face was slightly heated up causing himself to be a bit of a panic.

Didn’t want himself to become even more strange, he hurriedly carried the other person to her room before quickly went back to his own room.

It must be his imagination to think that his heart actually fluttered for her.

Xu Qin didn’t feel like sleeping yet so he pulled out his phone which has turned silent for all this time to check his mail. However, upon unlocking the screen, a message notification instantly popped up on the screen.

Seeing the number, he paused a bit before opening the message. Chen Xin just sent him a short message.

‘’You should take care of your wife’s image before things gone wrong. Her sister just came to me with her black materials.’’

Toward this childhood friend of his, Xu Qin didn't hate her but he also couldn't reciprocate her feelings either.

He didn't want her to waste her youth on him so for all this time he has made his stance clear that their relationship couldn't develop in that direction.

But even though he came out as a cold-blooded person, she didn't back out which left him to wonder why she still liked a horrible man like himself?

In the end, Xu Qin gave a helpless sigh and gave her his thanks then emailed Yan Jin.

In the past, it was precisely because of Su Ming's reckless attitude that Xu Qin’s goodwill toward her immediately plummeted. He knew for sure that if she was not going to change, they would need to part ways in the near future. Therefore, he purposefully hid her identity as his wife and let her do whatever she wanted without a care.

But now it was a different matter, he couldn’t stay still and let things that could be a threat to exist anymore.

Xu Ming woke up in the early morning due to his biological clock. He stared blankly into space for a bit before realizing that he was in his own room.

Last night, after knowing that this body could handle liquor quite well he thought of wanting to know this body's limit so he still drank even though he figured that he was already drunk.

Surprisingly, he fell asleep before he could even arrive in his room so he didn't remember anything afterward.

With no hard feelings, he nonchalantly took care of his personal business before making his way out of the room.
