The moment Chen Xin got in the car, her gentle expression immediately disappeared. She grudgingly said to her assistant,’’Investigate Xu Ming for me.’’

An Ke dutifully replied,’’Got it.’’

‘’Make it fast.’’

An Ke raised an eyebrow in amusement once he caught that there was anxiety in her voice, he lightly asked,’’Why only being wary of her now?’’

Chen Xin gave him a glare,’’Stop asking and do as I told.’’

An Ke was not fazed with her cold attitude since he has already gotten used to it so he just shrugged his shoulders and went back to look at his tablet looking unconcern but in his heart, he coldly sneered.

He doesn’t understand why she is insisting on seducing a married man.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Xu Ming was expressionlessly staring at Madam Xu who called him to meet her right after she sent off Chen Xin and let Xu Qin took his daughter back to her room.

Madam Xu started the conversation with ridicule, ‘’You snake, what are you planning to do now?!’’

Xu Ming calmly answered,‘’Nothing.’’

Hearing this, Madam Xu coldly sneered,‘’Nothing? For all these years, you didn’t even bother to look for your daughter but right when you are about to go away, you suddenly act like a mother! What’s with you?!’’

‘’Did you think of using Xu Mei to gain pity and stabilize your position?’’

In face of her scolding, Xu Ming remained silent and let Madam Xu reprimanded him until she was exhausted from speaking too much only then did he intercepted in an unhurried manner,’’I just wanted to say goodbye. If I really wanted to scheme something, I wouldn’t even bring up the divorce in the first place.’’

With only this much, Madame Xu was at loss for words with nothing to retort back.

Seeing that she finally became clear headed again, Xu Ming slowly got up,‘’I will be taking my leave now.’’

The reason he decided to stay here for another 2 weeks was only because he wanted to have a clear cut relationship with the people that this body used to know especially her daughter.

He was also motherless so he couldn't bear to leave without saying goodbye.

Moreover, he figured that problems would arise in the future if he didn’t deal with these people properly.

It has already been three days but the Su family didn’t even come to look for him.

Therefore, he decided to seek them out when he moved out from here in case they made a scene at the Xu mansion and ruined his plan of leaving.

Nonetheless, Xu Ming decided to drop this matter for now and went to take a shower but suddenly there was a knock at the door.

The door then opened letting him see that it was actually Xu Qin.

Xu Qin had already learned his lesson so this time he properly knocked on the door. Seeing that the other party was properly dressed, he secretly heaved a sigh in relief.

‘’Let’s talk.’’

In return, Xu Ming slightly raised his chin signaling for him to sit on the couch but Xu Qin refused,’’No need to. It won’t be long.’’

Therefore, Xu Ming just casually removed his jacket then went to sit down alone as he lightly said,’’Say it.’’

Seeing his unconcern behavior, Xu Qin felt a bit irritated but he held it in and stated his business,’’If you are going to leave then don’t come near Mei’er.’’
