Chapter 33
In order to make the next move against my father we would have to plan it all out as to what we were going to do and how we were going to finally assault the castle. After arriving back to my old home, I've found that it has been greatly repaired. It almost resembles a great castle now. The soldiers had a barracks and a school of sorts where they are being taught battle tactics and the fighting styles of warriors long dead. It seemed to actually help improve the skill of the soldiers and how well they fought together as a team. I watched some of the training they were put through and knew that we would have a formidable army soon enough. With he teachings and Elene training them they would be nearly as good as I am at fighting. Other than the soldiers the people that had moved here to seek refuge seemed to love the safety they were given being here. The people seemed to be happier than I could've imagined, the miles on their faces brought a smile to mine and reminded me the purpose of my quest. My father had to perish, no matter the cost. I had a talk with my chosen few and they understood that they would be risking their lives to help me fight the king, no matter the cost they were fully willing to fight to the end alongside me. I'm not sure what I did to deserve such loyal allies who were willing to fight alongside me in such a journey, but I am glad that these are the people I'm fighting alongside. After the discovery of Elisa's' pregnancy I knew I would have to defend Artur as best as I could so that he would ne there for his child. All the while Amicia would also be my focus, I couldn't let her put herself in any sort of danger. I wasn't willing to lose a another love of mine. I would not let it happen ever again. I called all of the people I had come to meet that had some sort of power over the refuges together so that I could talk to all of them and hear what they had to say about how we should proceed with the attack on m fathers castle. With their input we all should be able to come up with some sort of plan that would end in our success, because there was a lot of lives at stake in this war. We have waited too long already to fight him.
The meeting was going to be held within a large tent, I had called all the people that could represent all of the lands. Obviously I had Amicia and Roan to stand in for Riverrook and Amalain, and Artur to stand in for Elestia. Although Elene and Elisa came to the meeting anyhow. Iain came to stand in for Kalenist, and a scholar by the name of Gislan stood in for the land of Tisent. With all of them I believe we could most likely come up with some kind of plan for our assault.
"All of you are here to represent your respective land, each of you will help in our decisions as to how we should proceed with the final fight and what we will do after the fight is over. How we will rebuild the land and how things will be put afterwards." I said to the group as thy looked at me with curiosity. "I believe that we should charge the king and take him by surprise before he has a chance to summon too many arisen for us to handle." Elene chirped quickly before others could answer. "What you don't realize Elene is that my father has powers that only I know about, ones that we were born with. We can see the future and all the variations that it holds, so trying to take him by surprise is out of the question." I replied to her opinion. "Well why didn't you tell us that earlier? That may have made things plenty more easy this entire time if we knew you could see the future." She said back to me. "I cant actually decide what I see or when it happens, my visions themselves decide what and when." I said to her. "Well it just seems we will have to just wait for one of your useful visions, until we have one of those we might as well cancel this meeting." Iain said quickly. "Do you happen to have a plan Iain, I know you know much more than you will ever let onto. Ever sine we met you've been hiding some sort of information that might've been useful to us. So please tell me anything you know that may benefit us." I snapped at him. He smirked and looked around at the others. "I actually have a gift similar to yours, but it only works on the present. I can see current things that are happening at the very moment I decide to use my ability. The only problem is that most of the time my visions are jumbled all together because so much is happening at once. So to answer your question I do know a few details that may help you out. First of all your allies here don't have a real soul stone, they are very similar but lack the abilities that yours has. And with that same invention the low elves have designed armor and weapons that can penetrate those stones you carry with you. Although they have created this they still have nothing that can put a scratch in the real thing. So only your stone my dear king slayer is useful against the low elves. Other than that my knowledge of things is rather useless at the moment." He sad to me. No wonder they broke my shield back in the drylands. I was wondering how they did that, but now its explained." Artur said with understanding. "So our weapons wont be useful if he has low elves fighting us, which means only Kai can fight them." Amicia said. "No, your weapons still work on them its just not nearly as effective as the king slayers spear." Iain explained. "Either way we will defeat anything that stands in our way." Roan said. "So I think we should camp upon the hill that crests right before the kingdom of Redonis. From there it gives us a night to prepare and ensure our soldiers are ready to begin a fight they might well not be coming back from. With that we could march over the hill and charge the castle to begin the fight. Nothing too difficult or huge, just a simple camp before we initiate the major fight that could change world as we know it." Elisa said as she looked around at the others. "That's a good idea, what do you all think?" I asked. "Its a good idea." Artur said as he kissed Elisa's forehead. "The plan works for its simplicity and gives our troops a night to mentally prepare themselves." Amicia said while Gislan nodded his head in agreement. "Well then I guess that will be the plan that we go with. It is simple enough and it provides us all a calm night before the storm that decides our future." I said. "Well that is decided, now what about the lands and how they will be separated and who will rule us my lord?" Gislan asked. "I will not be a king if that is what you are asking, otherwise I believe the lands should be rebuilt but our kingdoms should be closer to one another. That way we will we have clear trade routes and the lands will be united once again." I said as the others seemed to agree with my opinion. "But why do you not want to be a king?" Elene asked. "Because you see what the land has become when there of the lands. I know that not all kings are like my father, but the temptation of power is always going to be there." I said to her. The others looked at me and nodded with agreement and that was the conclusion of our meeting. We all left the ten having a decent outline of what things will be like before the final fight. I went back to my small tent and lied down to get some rest for the next night, for I would be training the soldiers somewhat in the skill of the spear. A lost art that only I truly knew anymore. I was slowly drifting off until I felt the familiar body of Amicia. I knew she was naked as soon as she began to kiss my neck. I rolled over and looked deep into her eyes and saw the lust that lied there. She wanted me just as bad as I wanted her. I kissed her back and gave her what she wanted and much, much more.
