Chapter 24
Sitting by the fire my mind started to drift as Amicia began to speak, but with the sound of her voice my mind snapped to reality. "When we reached Tisent the guards at the gates came out to meet us, and when we told them who we were they were excited and saddened to see the King Slayer himself was slain. Then they saw that you weren't dead at all, you were regenerating. So they took you to a secluded room in the town and allowed your body to regenerate. I stayed by your side the whole time. Then the next day a man came to me and offered me my dress. He said that I could have this ancient battle dress that was worn by a revered high elf known as Naedra, I agreed and took the dress and that was when he said that if I wore the dress I would have to marry. So you see that he didn't say I would marry him, just that I would marry." She said looking at me with a slightly relieved expression, but still held worry in her eyes. "Wait did you say Naedra?" I asked as I realized that that was the name Egrik said to me. "Yes that is the woman the man said the dress belonged to." "Well as it turns out you may be wearing my mothers dress." I said as I stood up and walked away from the fire, leaving Roan and Amicia with open mouths and eyes filled with shock.

The darkness felt oppressive, as though light had been taken out of existence or had never existed to begin with. As my eyes adjusted to the blackness I saw what hell truly must be. All around me was demons that resembled my brothers true form. They all seemed to be suffering great pain and seemed to be the all cried out to me and reached out with their twisted and grotesque hands. I walked forwards until I came to an empty throne. Looking at the throne I began to step towards it, until I heard a voice familiar to me. I turned to see Egrik standing with his wings ripped to shreds and his arms battered and bloody, almost like the skin had been frayed like ropes. "Brother you see what we live in and you may believe our father to be the greatest threat there is, but you are wrong. If our father dies another will take his place, and another after that. The cycle of Demon Kings is eternal. The one you should truly fear is the soul reaper. He will destroy you and all you ever will create in this world." "Why would you tell me this when I only hours ago murdered you?" I asked as he only looked at me blankly. "Because until he is born as the Demon King he will remain in hell and torture the demons who fail him. The soul reaper is the one true Demon King, and he is the only one capable of destroying the world." As Egrik finished talking I turned back to the throne to see it ignite in flames and from the flames a man materialized. He sat on the throne with a large smile on his face, along his lap he held a large scythe that held a rigid and serrated inner blade. The outer part of the scythe was smooth and the whole thing was glowing a deep green. He stood up and walked towards me and I noticed that he was significantly taller than me, his wings not a black but a shining white with streaks of what appeared to be blood. He looked down to me and then his eyes shifted and he was suddenly human in appearance. He looked similar to Egrik, but he held no white hair and his eyes weren't blue. He looked just like me except his eyes were a sharp purple that pierced my soul with energy that seemed to emanate darkness. Then he tapped his spear on the ground and uttered three words, "See you soon." Then everything went white.

I opened my eyes to see the treetops blowing gently in the wind, my mind felt empty and the wind seemed to blow all my thoughts away. Sitting up I disturbed Amicia, who had been laying halfway on top of me. She looked at me with her beautiful face, her green dress seeming to glow in the sun. On the right sleeve there seemed to be a red streak, looking deeper I saw that it must have been a blood stain that was cleaned out as best as it could've been. Amicia looked at me then looked at her sleeve and smiled. "It seems like this dress was indeed worn in before I was given it judging by the blood stain here, I wonder what happened to cause the stain." I looked and I wondered the same, reaching towards it I felt something tingle in my hand. When I touched the faint stain I felt a sensation wash over me and then visions filled my head.
