Chapter 29
Walking westward proved simple enough of a task, but the entrance to this hidden passage was indeed hidden well. The land westward was completely empty and seemed to go on forever, almost as if the skyline never ended. We walked on for what seemed like hours with nothing of interest to see. Looking to my left arm I saw the scale armor attached firmly to my arm. It looked as though it was now a part of my body, I could feel the part of the armor where I touched and it seemed as though there was no way to remove it from my arm. Flexing my arm I felt the scales seemingly breath and move along with my arm. Almost as if the scale armor was just a part of my body now. The fingers came to points that seemed dangerously sharp, but when I touched them with my other hand I felt nothing more than smooth fingers. As I was looking at my new armor I didn't notice the others stopped walking, so when I continued walking on I was greeted by a wall in my face.
As I fell to the ground I looked up to see that the wall was made of stone, but It was colored to blend in with the surrounding area. Upon the wall written in perfect script was a message, "The land of the stars will guide thee through the path of enlightenment." As I read the message the others looked at me with questioning glances. I stood up and dusted myself off before looking for the door to this 'land of stars'. Walking around the wall I found the entrance and looked down the dark path to see a long set of stairs. As I stared down the depths of darkness the others walked up to see the entrance too, summoning my spear I pointed it down the depths to see the soft silvery glow it gave off. I glanced at them all before beginning the walk into the unknown depths.
The stairs went on for what seemed like hours, but the farther we walked down the brighter the walkway became. The roof lighting up with what seemed to be stars, it looked amazing and soon I didn't need the light of my spear to see anymore. Soon the stairs stopped at a room that held what seemed to be several pathways, all of which were blocked by stone walls that held no way of passing them. As I walked towards one I felt the ground vibrate and saw the stone move down before me, words appeared over the top of the door and glowed with light that burned as bright as the sun. "The path of futures." As I looked back at the others I felt myself being beckoned on by the tunnel, but as soon as I passed the threshold I felt the stone wall rise up behind me with utter silence. "Kai are you alright?" Amicia asked through the stone with worry in her voice. "Yeah I'm fine, It seems that only one of us can go through each tunnel. Just choose a tunnel and go through it, we should all meet up at the end." I said with utter confidence that we would meet each other again. The place held no sense of danger, it seemed as though it was simply a way to find yourself. The path of the future seemed interesting enough, hopefully I could see the end of my fathers reign. The others didn't reply after I spoke, so I continued to walk on into the tunnel that was lit by the stars.

As the door dropped behind Kai I felt scared, but his reply felt sincere and I knew I would have to trust him. Looking at the doors I didn't know what I would be walking into. They all held no identifier as to what they would hold, but they all seemed to radiate a different feeling. There stood at least a dozen doors before us, yet I felt particularly drawn to one of the doors. As I walked towards it, Roan and Artur walked towards other doors themselves. When I got to the door the wall lifted and words appeared above the doorway, "The path of Love." Looking back to the others I saw them walking into their own doors and heard the soft hum the doors made as they closed behind them. I followed their lead and walked into my own tunnel.
The walkway was simple and lead to a small room that held a mirror. Nothing else stood in the room besides the mirror and as I walked to the mirror I saw a swirling image begin to appear within it. The images began to take shape and I could see Kai and myself standing next to each other with our hands interlocked. We both had smiles on our faces and looked happier than I could ever imagine, In my free arm I could see a small child sleeping peacefully wrapped in a blanket. A smile grew on my own face and I knew this was what Kai and I would have once this was all over. As I looked to the image longer I saw time begin to move forwards. The child grew older and turned into a handsome man, while Kai and I grew older together. Our son soon ended up having a woman standing at his side. She stood only and inch or two shorter than him, her long silver hair stood out with beauty and it framed her beautiful face perfectly. The tips of her hair stood out with its stark red color that seemed strange in contrast to her silvery hair. Her beauty stood out with utter radiance, she seemed to light up the room with her very smile she held on her face. As I looked at her face my heart dropped when I saw her eyes. Roans eyes were on her face, the exact same eyes he held stood out on her face and only made her even more beautiful. To think my son would eventually end up with Roans daughter, it was an amazing thought in itself.
