Tsukie's POV

Kyo and I cleaned ourselves up and became presentable. Granted, if someone was to come into the room, what we did was bluntly obvious. It was worth it, though. Once he fixed his desk phone, my boyfriend called his assistant to pick up lunch for us.

"I thought you said that you were going to take me out on a lunch date, not for your assistant to pick up lunch for us to have in your office," I laughed, stretching out on the sofa in his sitting area in his office.

"I am taking you out for lunch," he said, smiling and working on his computer. "I'm taking you somewhere where food isn't provided."

Narrowing my eyes at him, I thought about every place we've been to. I opened my mouth to start listing off places, but he beat me to the punch.

"No, we haven't been to this place before. This is the second surprise for you," he said, looking over at me as I kept looking at him.

His assistant came with food from our favorite sushi place, and we left the house that was made into their headquarters. The drive was a little long, but with light conversation and eating made it go by fast. As the car neared a heavily wooded area, I looked over at my boyfriend.

"Where are you taking us?" I asked, popping another piece of sushi into my mouth.

"I told you a surprise," he said, smiling at me.

There were so many questions that were running in my head. Kyojuro was always good with surprises, but I was better at gift-giving. Not saying that the gifts he gave were terrible, but he was more on that dazzling side of things and not the personal. We drove up to a large black gate, and more questions were piling up in my mind. What is the hell was he doing? Once he put the code in, the gate opened slowly to a stone driveway that led somewhere. All I could see were trees. Was this a house they had that I had never been to?

I knew the Rengoku family had many homes. They had a large one, a westernized-ish modern home in Nagano, a modern home in Hokkaido mainly used for the colder months. A smaller one in Hyogo to house guests or themselves for meetings, and my personal favorite was the small villa in Yakushima. We were only in Manazuru, which wasn't far from the offices. Which made me think we were either visiting someone or they were looking for new locations for their headquarters. Both our families live in Chiba, so moving all the way out here was going to take forever.

The black stone house came into view, and my eyes widened. It was very modern yet traditional. Kyo circled his car around the pond that sat in the middle of the driveway. This was defiantly way more beautiful than their home in Chiba. Well, in my opinion, it was.

"Are you going to sit there and gawk at it, or are you going to get out," Kyojuro's voice broke through my thoughts as I opened the door.

There was a slight hurt in my chest. If the Rengoku family was going to move all the way out here, then seeing each other would be more difficult.

"Uh, it's new construction, just finished a few days ago," he said, holding the door open for me. Taking off our shoes, I continued to stare wide-eyed at the beautiful architecture.

"You and your father built a home?" I asked, walking around the foyer, looking down the hallways or really wings of the house. "How many bedrooms?"

"There are eight bedrooms, ten baths. Of course, there's a large bathing room," he said as we entered the living room.

"Oh my gods," I said, looking at the spacious area with floor-to-ceiling windows, looking out to "oh my gods, this view is amazing. That backyard is huge!"

"Three levels."

"Three?"

"There's supposed to be a 'tennis court,' but it'll be used for training, of course."
