Kyojuro's POV

I stood there in the foyer of our home, waiting. One thing I hated was waiting, and she knew this. There were times when this part of me got shit done, but right now, I hated myself for having to do it towards her.

"Tsukie!" I bellowed out, knowing she would hear me.

Popping my neck in irritation, I rechecked my cufflinks before Mrs. Sano hurried into my view.

"I'm sorry, Lord Rengoku, I couldn't find her earrings for tonight," she said apologetically.

"That doesn't matter when we need to leave," I growled, hating myself.

Mrs. Sano knew I didn't mean it, but the hurt in her eyes dug into my heart. I would repay her somehow after this and apologize a million times. Luckily my head security guard knew the different versions of me that I didn't have to apologize. Rechecking my watch, I huffed out a sigh.

"Tsukie!" I yelled again.

"Yes, sir?" A sultry voice met my ear before the clicking of her heels did.

Oh, Fuck me. The way she called me sir caused my dick to jump, but how she looked should have brought me to my knees. If this wasn't a business dinner, I would order everyone to leave and do just that. The way her black dress molded down to her body, off the shoulder, so her scars were on display, damn that power move. That fucking dress had two tie-up slits, I knew...I fucking knew she didn't have any underwear on.

She walked over to a mirror by the door to put in her earrings as I walked to stand behind her. I placed my hands on her hips, leaning down to watch her in the mirror.

"Would you prefer, sir, Lord Rengoku or Master Rengoku?" She asked, face straight and without emotions.

"You can call me whatever you please, my love," I said, kissing her neck.

"Shitbag it is," she whispered, and we smiled at each other.

Leave it to her to break my walls when they needed to be up. Oh Tsukie, how I love you.

"Sir, I have the rings. We must be heading out," Mosu announced, and both of our masks were set back into place.

"Come now, dear. We must not be late," I said, escorting Tsukie to one of the many SUVs awaiting us.

I felt her back tense a bit, knowing she wasn't used to this much security because she was typically the security in the other SUVs. Helping her into the passenger seat, I made my way to the driver's side and hopped in.

"Here, put these on," I said, handing her the box with our supposed 'wedding rings' that we were to wear tonight. I was not going to put any back luck on ours and encouraged Tsukie to not wear hers, which wasn't that hard to convince. Finally heading out, I could see my love hiding a smile.

"What?" I asked.

"These are some hideous rings Kyo," she said, placing the giant diamond ring on her finger.

"He's a new client. He wouldn't know what I gave you anyway," I said, looking forward.

"Kyo...I know it probably won't happen, but as a just in case, we need a release word," she said, completely serious, her joking tones gone.

"A release word?" I asked.

"Yeah, so if you need me to attack or kill, I will, but only if you say a certain word," she said, looking at me.

"How about our safe word that we use already," I suggested, and I could see her head shake.

"No. The release word my parents use is Hachiman," she said, and I chuckled. Of course, they would use that with her.
