this book, I decided to switch it up a bit. in this story, there are no romantic feelings between Nancy Wheeler & Steve Harrington, but nancy does have feelings for Jonathan Byers. Nancy Wheeler is the best friend of the one and only Lila Henderson! what can you assume from the character? well as you can see, Lila Henderson will be playing as Dustin's older sister.

We don't know much about Dustin's father in the show, but I wanted to come up with a storyline and background about it. When Dustin was only five years old and Lila was only 10 years old, their father was quite abusive, especially towards their mother. Whenever Dustin was targeted by his father, Lila would step in and take the hits that were supposed to go to Dustin. One thing that Lila cared about is her little brother Dustin, she was basically his shield their whole childhood & they still are to this day. Until Lila went into Middle School, their father had enough and broke the family apart. Separating the two close siblings part because he thought it was necessary to have a girl in his house to do everything for him. Moving to Chicago away from Hawkins. When her father would leave for work in the morning, the first thing Lila would do when waking up is call her brother Dustin to check up on him. When she had the chance she would call Nancy Wheeler updating her on her mental state. It took years for Nancy to convince Lila to put a restraining order on Lila's father and have him rot in prison. Lila refused to because she wanted to grow up with a father in her life, she just wanted a happy family for not only her but for Dustin. Lila had pretty strict rules in their household over in Chicago.

1. school ends, she had to get home straight away and clean all the beer bottles, cigarettes, and every single mess her father made the night before, as well as make dinner for her dad before he gets home

2. she couldn't talk to anyone at her school if her dad ever caught her talking to someone at school. she would get hit getting home.

3. no contact with anyone from Hawkins. (Obv she broke that rule on Day 01)

After years of torture and always breaking rule #3. She was 16 at that time already, finally taking Nancy's advice, for support, Nancy & Nancy's mom traveled to Chicago and put in a report and restraining order. Leading to Lila finally having freedom after years of torture, Nancy and Nancy's mom brought her back to where she belongs...Hawkins. Finally reuniting with her brother Dustin and mother, she was finally a whole. She still had trauma in her, giving her nightmares, her mother recommended she take a whole year off, and be put into homeschool as she went to therapy. did she heal? somewhat, she finally felt happy but there were those times when she would get those thoughts in her head of her childhood with her father. Nancy was her biggest support through it all, Dustin introduced her to his friends, whom he always talked about on the phone. Soon became her little brothers as well.

- as you can see Lila went through a whole lot of trauma in her childhood, but she met amazing people along the way. Nancy introduced her to Jonathan and the trio became best friends, Hopper became a father figure to her, he would be the one taking her to her therapy sessions and taught her self-defense. Jonathan introduced her to Joyce, and Joyce has grown a soft spot for Lila. Let's just say everyone always has positive things to say about Lila.

ღ i will be putting the name of some songs throughout my story that guide you through the story/gives you the vibe of the story. the same cast will be the same as in Stranger Things, i just own Lila Henderson.
