"IT WAS HERE. RIGHT HERE." max said pointing her flashlight to an empty wall.
"a grandfather clock?" nancy asked.
max still remembers when saw the clock in front of her. "it was so real." she said. "and then, when i got closer, suddenly i just...woke up."
"it was like she was in trance or something. exactly what eddie said happened to chrissy." dustin said.
max turns to look at the group. "that's not even the worst part."
max walks away, going back to miss kelley's office. everyone followed her inside, showing them their file.
"fred and chrissy, they both came to see miss kelley for help." max said, moving the file towards robin and nancy. "uh, they both were having headaches, bad headaches that wouldn't go away. and then...then the nightmares..."
steve got a flashback to what lila told him at the trailer park.
"steve. my nightmares came back."
"trouble sleeping." max said.
"i sometimes can't sleep."
"then, they would wake up in cold sweat. and then they started seeing things...bad things from their pasts..."
steve could hear lila's gasps when she would wake up from a nightmare or even hearing her mumble in her sleep. he turns to look at her worried. he could see her, holding her sweater down. playing with the hem of it. what he was thinking, was something he hopes never would happen to her.
"and these visions...they kept on getting worse and worse, until eventually...everything ended." max finished.
"vecna's curse." robin spoke.
"chrissy's headache started a week ago. fred's was six days ago and i've been having them for five days..."
steve wiped his face with his hands now worried for max. he saw her as a little sister and if she were to die, he would blame himself.
but lila was just terrified at this point. she knows everyone could be in danger. we don't even know who will be vecna's next victim. her...max...nancy...steve...robin...dustin. no one knows. but she knows her time is coming close. her nose bleeds started months ago. her headaches started four days ago. she hasn't gotten them since yesterday. this whole mystery thing is scaring her. she doesn't even know when she'll get cursed again. tomorrow? tonight? the following day? she doesn't know...
