chapter #9: the demon in coastline road

Song: Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics, Annie Lennox & Dave Stewart

THE BYERS HOME WAS FILLED WITH LIGHTS from Joyce using it as a source of communication with Will. It was still odd for Lila to see the older byers home with christmas lights. Nancy and the older henderson were shitting their pants, terrified on what the trio were about to do.

"okay remember..." jonathan spoke.

"straight into will's room." nancy said.

"no stepping on the trap or else we'd be dinner to the demon." lila said.

"wait for the yo-yo to move.." nancy breathed heavily scared about the situation.

"and then." jonathan flicked his lighter.

nancy and jonathan look at each other having lila im between them third wheeling.

"ahem."

"Alright, you guys ready?" jonathan said as the trio get the sharp part of the knife close their skin.

"ready?" nancy said as they both brought their hands together.

lila let out a breath trying to take away any fear consuming her body. "yeah."

"on three..."

"one.."

"two.."

"you guys don't have to do this. i can take one for the team." jonathan said stopping.

"jonathan stop..." nancy said.

"guys im serious-"

"three!" lila blurt out as they all drag the knife across their skin cutting it.

jonathan runs to get the bandages, bandaging up lila and nancy. after being done, nancy and jonathan were having their moment while nancy was bandaging him. lila walked to their kitchen giving them alone time. she grabbed her pistol preparing it for battle. practicing her aiming towards the door without shooting.
