A.N:this chapter is like leading to the start of the story. this is a short but fun one with lila, dustin and steve. below here, there'll be a Spotify code where all the songs that'll be used for my whole book. the playlist is complete and will be from seasons 1 through 4. so a little sneak peek on what songs im adding throughout the story

↓ chapter #1: the three musketeers

NO ONE WOULD WEAR SUNGLASSES AT NIGHT BUT STEVE HARRINGTON. He always thought it made him look a lot cooler and it makes him look hot. The words Lila Henderson said to Nancy. "steve looks hot with the sunglasses" After the chaos that happened months ago, the group finally had a break and a trio decided to learn some karate in theaters.
"Hey Jennifer." Steve said to the server. He's known the server for the many times he's came to the movie theater.
"Hey Steve. The usual?"
"Yup."
"Who's the lucky girl tonight?" she smirks.
"Uh no no, it's a friend." Steve smiled, wishing the friend was more than a friend.
"Okay sure, you and lila are seriously killing me with this whole friend thing."
"because we are.."
"you suck at lying." she hands me the bucket of popcorn and goes back to make the drinks.
...
Steve walks around finding the right theater. Nervous to actually hangout with Lila, the first time they do something other than their study nights.
"Excuse me. Sorry." He said to the people already sat, getting through them to sit on his seat.
"Hey lila." he smiled.
"Hi steve." They both smile at each other maintaining eye contact. Steve just wanted to kiss her at that very moment, he was ready to-
"You're late!" Dustin snatches the bucket of popcorn from Steve.
"The movie hasn't even started yet." He answered wiping away the popcorn that fell on him.
"You know how many people wanted your seat specifically guys. They tried making a move, on my sister...in front of me! I had to kick them off. You're welcome!" Dustin whisper yells.
"Well sorry I was getting the child food. If you aren't going to be grateful I got you popcorn then give it back!"
"No! They're- "
"I swear to god if one of you says another word again, I'll perform The Karate Kid movie to everyone in this theater and you guys are going to be the people I'm going to beat the hell out of." Lila demanded, shutting up the both boys that were arguing. They put their full attention to the screen watching the movie.
"Sometimes your sister really scares me." Steve leaned in to whisper to Dustin.
"Sometimes...I don't care now watch the damn movie before my sister doesn't let me play in the arcade for free with the guys." dustin whispered.
the power goes out. shutting off the screens. the boys both look at each other.
"Boooo!"
"I need a refund!"
"More Ralph Macchio!" Lila yelled startling Steve and Dustin.
A.N: the part about dustin saying how Lila won't let him play in the arcade for free with the guys. The story about that is Joyce tried to get Lila hired at the store she works at but, the boss didn't want "children" working at his store. So she works in the arcade. Which she started working at towards the end of the summer.
