-Midnight's POV-
I'm usually pretty tough, something like this wouldn't bother me, but for some reason I was scared. But then I remember his hand in mine, guiding me along, our skin melting us together, making us one person, one with emotions, so his fear is my fear, and his happiness is my happiness. So my journey, our journey, was just okay, because he wasn't scared, so I wasn't scared.
This place, so tranquil in it's peaceful serenity, calmed my nerves. Meeting these Specials, these people who will teach me...about me, is nerve racking, but its fine. The magic floating in this air, the tingling sensation, makes me okay. I could smell him in the air, he was sweet, and I could smell the magic, it was sour, but sweet, I can't help but to think that I should be afraid. I was almost in a complete daze, when I felt him tug me to the side.
"Shh, be quite, try not to breathe loud" He whispered in my ear.
"What about you?" I asked.
"I'm fine, I'm not new to these lands, and I am definatly not an Elemental."
I stayed quite, waiting for the danger to pass, I couldn't help but look over at what was passing. This creature was horrid. Grotesque in its rotting manor. The skin of this monster was peeling off, the blood oozing just over the surface of it's skin. It made gurtural grunts and moans. It dragged its feet, and had a bow an arrows slung over its shoulder. I froze in fear.
The creature passed by and was soon out of sight, its horrid smell no longer killing my senses.
"It's okay to talk."
I let go of the breath that I didn't know I was holding.
"What was that?!"
"That was a Sentry. They roam the paths, making sure that know outsiders are drifting around. In order to pass through this land, you have to summon a witch and fly there, but I can't trust a witch, in fact nobody can, definatly not an Elemental. If a witch knows its carrying an Elemental, it will simply take it for its own use. Its to dangerous."
"Oh." I felt pitiful, I'm so weak here, were only 'Oh' sums up my feelings.
"Lets go."
We continued along the path, once again surronded by the blanket of the magic in the air. And everything was at peace, especially when he pulled me to the side to kiss me.
