"Midoriya, may I talk to you before you leave?" The HC president requests as everyone packs to leave.
"I prefer not, but I don't think I have a choice."
It doesn't take long for everyone else to leave. She turns her attention to him.
"I will be frank: if Shigaraki is going to be as strong as you believe, I don't think Endeavor will be able to defeat him."
Izuku sighs, "Considering I explained backup plans, you either don't believe they will work or didn't listen."
"I believe they are too risky."
"Okay, so why are you bringing it up now instead of during the meeting?"
"Because what I am about to say may cause an outrage amongst your team members. I hope it does not come to this solution, but I personally believe it is the best one. However, you can not mention it to your team members."
"Just spill."
"I believe you are our best bet at defeating Shigaraki with the capabilities of your technology."
"When you say defeat, you say it with a different tone compared to when you said for Endeavor to defeat him."
"I expect Endeavor to capture. If Endeavor fails, I expect you to kill. If Shigaraki can defeat the number one hero, he is too large of a threat in society."
"Ah, there it is."
"Are you willing to do it?"
Izuku considers it for a moment before responding,
"Yes."

Shigaraki turns toward me with a grin. Even with the distance, I hear him so clearly,
"I sense my little brother nearby, but he's nowhere near a threat that I have to eliminate like you, Izuku Midoriya."
In the blink of an eye, I stumble out of the way to see Shigaraki's hand fly past inches from my face. Shigaraki soars and lands a few feet (or meters) from me.
I only avoided that on gut instinct, and it was pure luck that I was able to move in time. That is a big fuck. If Shigaraki even attempts to attack me again, I'm gone. I need to get Rex back. I can do that by sacrificing one of my batons to it, but I need to be careful in case Shigaraki decides that he needs to dust it. In fact, I'm surprised he's not dusting it now. Does he consider me a threat in general rather than with my technology? That's kind of stupid when I am only a threat with my technology or the right people.
Where's Endeavor? I need him to distract Shigaraki so I can zap Rex back to life-
"Shigaraki!" Endeavor yells as he flies into the scene. Thank fuck, "Izuku, get out of here!"
"I need a moment! My armor ran out of power with that last blast! Distract him please! Make sure to get him in the crater!"
I don't get much of a response as Endeavor starts his fight with Shigaraki. Hopefully, Shigaraki isn't so strong to defeat Endeavor of all people. Otherwise, life is shit.
I scramble over to Rex and open up one of the flaps to find a hole specifically built for the baton. I knew this would happen to some extent. When I say to an extent, I mean I didn't think Rex would end up using all its power. I thought I would have a chance to plug the baton in while still moving around. Obviously, that's not the case as I am a sitting duck. I slot the baton in and turn it on to charge it. It should only take a few seconds.
