Chapter 70 - Finally Safe

You know, when I fell asleep, I thought I would be dead since I don't sleep. Or at least enter a coma.

I did not expect to wake up an hour later still in pain. I understand that I got struck by lightning, but that is nothing compared to losing an arm. I think.

People die from both, so I'm not sure what is worse. I guess lightning since you are more likely to die from that? But then, if your arm does go on the chopping block, you're one arm less for the rest of your life unless a quirk is out there to help you.

Now looky me! I get to experience both! I'll tell you which one is worse eventually. For now, I hate life!

"Izuku, are you awake already?" Momo asks- wait, why is Momo here? Shouldn't literally anyone else be babysitting my dumbass?

Whatever, go off.

I casually respond with, "No, I'm dead."

Momo ignores the comment and just takes the fact that I am awake, "I'm surprised you're awake already. I thought it would have wore you out much more. Though, I guess it is you."

"I am really breaking standards if just being me is enough to explain certain issues. Maybe I should use that on Aizawa."

"Please don't."

"But he my brother from a far nother mother."

Momo sighs, "Are you in pain?"

"A little bit, why? Do you have medication?"

"Yes." I open my eyes and sit up to see a tired Momo. She does not look good. I'm not saying she is ugly before anybody attacks me. I'm just saying she looks unhealthy. That's legal.

"Um, are you okay?"

Momo offers me a small smile as she hands me the good shit, "I'm good. I just overused my quirk." I down my medication like a gummy bear before responding.

"I can tell. Is everyone in the class in a similar position?"

"Unfortunately, yes...I don't know what to do, Izuku. I know we're asking alot with how you are now, but we need your help. Everyone is close to giving up, even if Bakugo is standing. We both know he's not the most proper leader, though he is getting better."

"I know. Do you know if Bakugo got what I asked for?"

"Yes, he did as well as a couple of other things. Why?"

"It means we have a better chance. I also know that Aizawa is probably coming now if he ever did receive the messages about my robots getting destroyed. He might be coming illegally though. If he isn't, someone is stopping him. Actually, lots of people would be."

"That would help. I sent an SOS signal on a drone before we came here."

"Good. That increases the urgency of the situation and might bring more heroes over. However, I don't know how much time we have. I'm surprised that we are able to relax unless I am missing something."

"Bakugo said that the villain with multiple quirks seemed to suddenly be in pain, and they retreated. That was soon after you were struck by lightning. He said it will probably take a while for him to recover." That is SIGNIFICANT information! It means the guy has a limit!

I grin decorates my features as my hyperactivity comes back, "Yes yes yes! We have a weakness! IT ALL MAKES SENSE! HE'S AFTER THE KID BECAUSE OF THAT WEAKNESS!"

Momo looks at me as if I have lost it, "Izuku, you're going to have to explain."

"Can do! The guy was after a kid with a cell regeneration quirk. Presumably, it's needed by someone if they are after it, especially now. If the All for One ripoff is the one needing it, it means there's a limitation. If I was a betting boy, I would put it all on how much he can use his quirks. Think about it: ain't nobody going to be able to strike lightning and come out of it unharmed. Look at Kaminari. He is wacko in the brain just like me cause of electricity. That's why he has to be careful, and he isn't even going that strong compared to All for Bitch. Lightning? He's probably destroying himself!"
