Niki's brain was working a million kilometers per hour.
"You.. you don't think he has disappeared as well, right?" asked Yunho, with a shaky voice.
"That can't be" whispered Beomgyu."Maybe he's still in the castle" said Niki. "I'm going to find him.
Before anyone could try to impeach him, Niki had left the room. He quickly looked in the bathroom, shouting Jungwon's name, to no avail.
With each step he took, Niki's theory grew stronger.
Jay must have planned to kidnap Jungwon a while ago but was waiting for the right time. He couldn't do it at the detention, cause he would have been the first suspect.
However tonight was the perfect opportunity. If he had noticed Sunoo and me hiding, then he knew Jungwon would be alone.
Well, not alone. He was in the dorm.
What if Jay has an accomplice in each house?Niki was walking around the hallways, he wanted to head outside. People couldn't disapparate in Hogwarts, so they would have to leave the castle to do so.
In either way he has Peeves.
Jay told him"Just do as I say" and "Keep an eye on them, when the time is right, let me know."
What if Jungwon was going to the bathroom, as he does every night, Peeves saw him and called Jay.
He could have taken him then?It doesn't matter.
I need to find Jungwon. And kick Jay's ass.
Niki was almost in the main hall. Only a few steps and-
"Wooo" shouted Niki, as someone run into him.
He was so focused on walking that he hadn't even noticed that person.
"Niki?" asked the person, as they got up.
"Jay?" replied the latter. How does he even know my name?
"Where have you taken Jungwon?" he said, his anger leveled to the maximum.
"What?" asked Jay.Thing was, Niki was very tall for his age. Taller than Jay. So as he heard the unsatisfactory answer, he grabbed Jay by his uniform's collar.
"Where have you taken him?" he repeated, angrier and angrier. "Tell me now."
"I didn't do anything" said Jay, his hands in the air. "Let me go."Niki didn't. He planted his eyes on Jay's, trying to decide wether he was saying the truth.
"Look, I really don't know where he is, but we will have more chances of finding him if we look together" said Jay.
Niki couldn't help but laughing out loud.
"You? Helping me?" he said. "Why on earth would I trust you?"
"Because-" started Jay.
"No. You don't get to speak" cut Niki. "I know you're behind all this. You're probably just keeping me here so that your accomplice can leave with Won.""What?" repeated Jay.
Niki let go of Jay, and as soon as the latter stood up, Niki punched him.
"Don't try to stop me" he said, dead serious. "I don't have much time left to find him."
And just like that, Niki ran down the two steps left and the main hall. His fist hurt like hell, hut he didn't mind. Having seen Jay there was proof enough for him.
He developed such a great plan. Peeves and him localize isolated muggle born students and bring them to the accomplice. The latter would disapparate with the student to Merlin knows where.
Niki had just reached the front door when he felt a hand on his shoulder.
"Why do you think he's outside?" asked Jay, panting.
"Let go of me" said Niki. "I'm not answering you."
"Why don't you trust me!" asked Jay.Niki slowly turned around.
"Do you really have the nerve to ask?" he said.
"I don't understand" said Jay.Niki looked at him. His cheek was red from the punch he had just received, and his eyes did seem kind of lost.
He's a good actor.
Niki didn't have time for that. He needed to find Jungwon. Now.
The Gryffindor opened the door and got outside. He didn't really know form where the accomplice would disapparate, so he needed to hurry.Rain was pouring down, but he still heard foot steps behind him. Niki ignored them. If anything, it comforted him that he was right. Jay was trying to stop him.
"Niki, I have a better idea" he shouted. "You're not going to find him this way."
Niki turned around once more. He needed to punch Jay harder so that the later wouldn't follow him anymore.
Of course he could also just point his wand at him but he was too furious at Jay for that.
He hated him.The guy had hurt his best friend for more than three years. He had ignored Jungwon this whole time, even though they were friends originally.
Niki had cheered Jungwon up so many times than he couldn't even stand being next to Jay.
He was the cause of his best friend's pain."Look, I don't know why you think I'm responsible, but we can ask the ghosts and paintings" said Jay. "They're the castle's eyes."
Niki stopped to consider.
If the paintings had seen Jungwon being transported outside, he would have lost time by asking.
On the other hand, if they hadn't, then Niki would gain precious time.Niki growled. He didn't want to trust Jay.
Is he trying to trick me?
Niki allowed himself one second to decide. He didn't even know why, but he came back to the castle.
The person kidnapping the students probably has another way in and out. Apparating is too risky.
Niki ran to the first painting on his right. It displayed a couple holding hands.
"Hi" he said. "Sorry to bother you. Have you seen a Gryffindor student around this height being transported outside?"
"You are very rude to disturb us this late" said the man.
"But no, the main hall has been quiet the whole night" said the woman.Niki thanked them and turned around.
Jay was there, looking at him.Did he really help me?
"This doesn't mean I trust you, but what did you have in mind?" asked Niki.

The two boys had just called Peeves, but the later didn't reply. Jay had then suggested to look for him around the first floor, where he usually hung out.
"I still don't get why you want to help me" said Niki.
"I'm worried about Jungwon" explained Jay.
"Yeah, right" mumbled Niki.
"What's that reaction?" asked the prefect.
"You want me to believe that suddenly you're worried about Jungwon? After what you did to him?" asked Niki.
"What I did to- ah, yes the detention.. he was out of bed at night-" started Jay.
"What? No! I mean how you ignored him for three years" said Niki, frustrated.
"Three years? But I met him this year" said Jay, confused.Niki breathed loudly.
"Oh you don't need to keep the mask on" said Niki. "Just admit you didn't want to be friends with him anymore. Admit that you broke his heart once when you left for Hogwarts and a second time when he arrived but you didn't care anymore."
Jay stopped in the middle of the staircase.
"What now?" he said.
"You and Jungwon were best friend while growing up" said Niki. "I know everything, don't play dumb."Jay frowned heavily. He seemed confused and lost.
"That's.. that's impossible" said Jay. "Are you sure?"
"Are you really asking me that?" replied Niki, offended. "Of course I'm sure!"Jay didn't answer immediately.
"I don't remember him" whispered Jay.
Niki looked at him. Something deep inside him just knew that Jay wasn't lying.
He really didn't remember being friends with Jungwon.
