Lunchbreak

The first morning of fourth year hadn't been as thrilling as Jungwon would have expected it to be.

The teachers were the same, the classrooms were the same, the rush between classes -especially if one needed to do a bathroom detour- were the same.

"Can't wait to have our first defense against dark arts class with professor Kim" said Niki, after swallowing his food without chewing it the normal amount.
"Hum" mumbled Jungwon.

He had forgotten about that detail! For as long as they could remember, the professor of defense against the dark arts did change every year. Rumor amongst students was that the post was cursed in a very serious way.
In fact, Jungwon and Niki had already had three different teachers. The first and the third had been good teachers. Of course, they could be boring sometimes, but they had taught them well and mostly, they had had some fun in class.
The second year teacher on the other hand had been the worst teacher ever. Not only did they seem to be scared of their study subject, but they also only did theoretical classes which, let's be honest, were boring.

"Wonder how it will be" started Jungwon, unable to continue his sentence.
"Nikiiiiiiiiii" shouted someone behind them.
"Oh" growled Jungwon as that same someone sat dramatically next to him.
"Isn't it my favorite Hufflepuff ever!" commented Niki. "How are you today Sunoo?"

Jungwon glanced at Niki, who was sitting in front of Sunoo and him. He had that cute sparkle in his eyes. The very same sparkle he always denied having when Jungwon brought it up.

"I'm pretty good" replied the latter, smiling brighter than the sun. "I missed you guys so much though!"
"Sunoo, we traveled from London to here together yesterday, remember?" replied Jungwon, looking at him before giving up. "I missed you too, but you're not supposed to be here, you know that."
"Come on, you and rules" said Sunoo, pouting for a second before forgetting it.
"Where are the others?" asked Niki, slightly getting up to check the Great Hall.

The others were in fact Heeseung and Jake. The five boys were all in the fourth year and hung out together the most they could. They had met in the train during their first trip and had shared their fears and doubts about the school.

Each came from different background, but that had never bothered them. On the other hand, it had fueled a lot of talks about their families and before Hogwarts experiences.
As they were all very different, they knew they would probably not be in the same houses.
They weren't wrong.

Heeseung was a Ravenclaw, Jake and Sunoo were Hufflepuff, and of course, Jungwon and Niki were Gryffindor. Hopefully they did share some classes together, and they always managed meeting in the evening or during weekend.

Since last year, they also had started visiting Hogsmead every now and then. That had really strengthened their bond.

"Hum, I think Jake is talking to his quidditch teammates, well, potential teammates, the teams aren't formed yet" informed Sunoo. "And for Hee, I don't know."

Jungwon nodded. As much as he was excited to see Sunoo, he didn't want to be breaking the rules on their first day. Well, he didn't want to be breaking the rules again on their first day.

They were so easy to follow, why couldn't Sunoo just accept it? Students were allowed to change tables for the evening meals only. Breakfast and lunch had to be eaten with people from your own house.

"Oh there he is!" spotted Niki. "Hee!"

The tall dark hair Ravenclaw approached the Gryffindor table, a big smile on.

"Hi guys!" he said. "How was the first morning.
"We were late to professor Lyptus' class because of me" said Niki, looking down.

Sunoo reached for his hand immediately.

"Did you get detention?" he asked, concerned.
"Hopefully we only got a warning" explained Niki.
"Wait" added Sunoo, suddenly remembering something. "We?"
"Yeah, I was with him" explained Jungwon.
"You should have seen the professor's face" added Heeseung in a chuckle.
"It sucks we haven't had class together yet" commented Sunoo.
"Don't worry, we have DADA together this afternoon" said Niki.
"Tru-" started Sunoo, before stopping mid sentence.

He could feel someone right behind them.

"So let me guess? Secret meeting that couldn't wait for tonight?" asked a deep voice.

Jungwon felt his blood stopping his biological course in his veins. He knew that voice.

Oh no

"Aren't you guys in your fourth year? You should know the rules by now, right?" continued the deep voice.

Even though he was frozen, Jungwon did his best to turn himself to face the person talking to them. Of course, he had recognized the voice right.

Jay...

Jungwon snapped out of reality for a second. A second long enough for him to remember Jay and him playing in his garden ten years ago, but also long enough not to hear Jay's next sentence.

"What's going on here?"

Jungwon woke up to Christopher, Gryffindor sixth year prefect.

He had dyed his hair in a beautiful dark blue during the summer, and had an impeccable black manicure.

"See for yourself Chan" said Jay calmly. "It's lunch time, yet I see yellow and blue at your table."

Christopher looked down. He couldn't deny the truth, obviously.

"It's the first day of school, cut them some slack" tried the Gryffindor.
"I see that you lost your touch, Chan" commented Jay. "I thought you followed the rules."

Once again, Jungwon could feel their prefect fuming. After all, Jay wasn't wrong.

"What did you say to them?" asked Christopher, trying to remain calm.
"Just a warning" said Jay, in a deep voice.
"Alright, that seems fair" admitted the prefect. "We'll need to talk later, though."

Christopher had said that last sentence while looking straight into Jay's eyes. The latter nodded and left.

"Sorry" said Sunoo, looking at Christopher.
"Don't worry about it" replied the prefect.
"What's wrong with him?" asked Heeseung, already getting up.
"It's his first day as prefect, he means well, I'm sure" explained Christopher before going back to his seat.

"Hum" commented Niki, not convinced.

Jungwon looked at him, already knowing what was coming next.
"He's just a pain in the ass" he mumbled.
"Hey!" instantly replied Jungwon.

Sunoo and Heeseung left their two friends at their starring contest and went back to their own tables.

"Don't say that about him" whispered Jungwon, upset.
"You're mad cause it's true?" asked Niki.
