Jay really didn't remember being friends with Jungwon. It was clear from the expression on his face. Niki frowned.

"If... if what you say is true" started Jay, starring intensely at his feet. "It would explain so much."
"Well, you can tell me about it, but let's keep walking" said Niki, who was both curious, but still in a hurry to find Jungwon.

"I don't remember much of my childhood to be honest" started Jay. "Like, I don't remember playing, hanging with friends, doing normal things kids do."

Niki and Jay were walking around the castle, not really knowing where they were headed. The end of their wands were shining like two little stars.

"Turn your light off" said a portrait, apparently very concerned about its night of sleep. "I swear to Merlin, one cannot rest here!"
"We're looking for a missing person, it's important okay?" replied Niki.
"Missing you say?" asked the portait.

Niki and Jay walked back to the painting.

"Have you seen anything?" asked Jay.
"Are you looking for boy with big eyes and dark hair?" he asked.
"Yes!" replied Niki and Jay at the same time.
"I've seen him walking with someone I've never seen before, a woman" explained the portrait. "They we're closely followed by-"
"Shut up!" whispered the woman in the painting next to the one helping Niki and Jay.

The two boys looked at her surprised.

"You'll get yourself in trouble" she added.

The man looked at Niki and Jay before mouthing a name.
It took a few seconds and three attempts, but Niki finally got what the latter meant.

"Of freaking course" he mumbled. "Come."

Niki dragged Jay around the corner.

"We have to find Peeves" he whispered.
"Peeves?" said Jay. "What does he have to do with this?"
"He escorted the woman and Jungwon" explained Niki, imitating the man in the painting, but this time saying the poltergeist's name.
"Impossible, he was helping me looking for the missing students" said Jay, confused.
"And how many did you find?" asked Niki.
"Uh... none..." whispered Jay, defeated.
"Are you sure he was helping you then?" asked Niki.

Jay had been struck by lightning.

"But.. why?" asked Jay, more to himself than to Niki.
"I don't know" replied Niki either way. "But we should find out as soon as possible if we want to save Jungwon."
"You're right" said Jay. "Wait."'

The prefect turned the light at the end of his wand out.

"Odor" he whispered, moving his wand in a circle.

Instantly, the air smelled like peaches. Niki had never experienced something like that. If he closed his eyes, he could swear he was in a field picking up fruits.

"I know it looks weird, but this is our secret code with Peeves. He loves peaches for some reason" explained Jay, looking around.

As predicted, the poltergeist soon appeared.

"Mister Park" he said. "Oh and a friend!"

Niki tried to stay calm and not to think about all the pranks Peeves had played on him and his friends on top of him being an accomplice pf Jungwon's kidnapping.

"Have you seen anything tonight?" asked Jay.

Niki could tell he was trying hard to act casual.

"No, no, no!" replied Peeves with his weird little voice.
"Are you sure?" asked Jay. "Cause one of our friends just went missing."
