"alright team you know the plan.... let's go." steve said, then the doors to the quinjet opened for them to get off.
"wait..... we don't know the plan." peter said confused as all the adults started walking off without the four of them.
"that's because your all back up." tony said to the four kids, and y/ns jaw nearly dropped to the floor at the words that came out of her fathers mouth.
"back up?!" the three girls said at the exact same time.
"yes. you heard me." tony added.
"that's so unfair!" kate complained, and looked over at her father.
"don't look at me. it's starks rule." clint said, then pointed over to tony.
"what's the point in taking us on a mission to make us sit in the jet?" yelena asked, and all the adults looked over at tony and waited for his response.
"just stay here and stay put." tony said as he pointed a finger at the kids, then walked off the jet with the rest of his team, and the doors closed behind him.
"unbelievable." y/n said completely frustrated, then plopped back down in her seat, and put her head in her hands.
"i'm going back to bed." yelena said, then rested her head on kate's shoulder.
this was not the way they were hoping their first mission would go.
twenty minutes later......
"guys we need help out here!" i heard nat yell over comms.
"is she talking to us?" kate asked excitedly as she sat up out of her seat.
"don't listen to her. we're fine." my dad said a few seconds later.
"tony we're getting our asses kicked right now!" i heard nat argue back.
"guys don't listen to him, come on. we need help!" steve added. i could tell he was out of breath.
"oh my god is this really happening?" kate asked as she jumped up and down.
"bishop..... chill." yelena said as she placed both her hands on each of kate's shoulders, and tried to calm her down.
"we got this. we're the young avengers.... if anyones gonna kick some ass today, it's gonna be us." i said to the three people standing in front of me.
"young avengers...... i like that. it's catchy." kate said with a smirk as she repeated the two words i said.
"so we ready?" peter asked us as he put his mask on over his face. we all looked at eachother and nodded our heads in agreement.
