"how was your birthday?" i asked.
"great, i had a lot of fun." ryan said.
"good." i smiled.
"hey guys!!" dylan said as he approached us.
he dabbed lexie and ryan up.
"what's up livy?" he said kissing me on the cheek.
"nothing." i shrugged.
my phone rang.
"one sec." i said, walking away from everyone.
"shay?" i asked.
"olivia. what's up with your lexie friend hating on me. what did i even do?" shay said.
"i'm sorry she just had a misunderstanding."
"oh, okay."
"sorry again."
"olivia, are we still dating?"
"yes. obviously."
"okay, because it doesn't feel like it."
"that's just because you're across the country from me."
"you're right. but i'm also hoping you're not trying to gaslight me."
"i'd never."
"okay good. so you and dylan are just friends?"
"just friends."
"good. see ya. i love you."
"bye." i said, hanging up.
i walked back over to my group of friends.
"everything good?" they asked.
"everything's perfect." i grinned.
