Gayoon slammed her bag down on the table as she dropped into the seat, unintentionally making Ryujin and Yuna flinch. Their eyes flickered to her, sensing her agitation. She closed her eyes, letting out a tired groan, and took a deep breath. Setting her bag aside, she tied her hair up in a messy bun, her fingers moving swiftly to push away the weight of the frustration brewing within her.

"What? Why are you looking at me like that?" she snapped, unable to fully hide her irritation.

"Did something happen?" Yuna asked, her tone cautious but concerned.

"Ahh, class representative stuff," Gayoon replied, forcing a chuckle, though it was far from genuine. "It's nothing, really. Why aren't you two getting lunch?"

Ryujin looked at her, her brow furrowing. "We're actually heading to that new hotpot place near the school. You should join us."

Gayoon shook her head, trying to muster a smile. "Sorry, I've got to eat quickly and get back to Ms. Ji. I've got some reports to finish."

Yuna's frown deepened. "It's still only the second week. Why are you already getting swamped with work?"

"And what are you going to eat? A sandwich?" Ryujin asked, a playful but disapproving tone slipping into her voice.

"I might if I have to," Gayoon sighed, her voice laced with fatigue. "Don't worry, I'll be fine. I'll eat enough. You two should go ahead."

"Nope," Ryujin said, shaking her head. "We're having a proper meal together. You need to eat something real."

"I'll let you take me to a buffet for dinner, Jin. Just not now, okay? I need to catch up on some stuff." Gayoon gave them a soft, almost apologetic smile.

Yuna gave her a concerned look. "You should really eat more, Yoon-ah."

Gayoon smiled reassuringly. "I will, I promise. I'm used to this by now. You two go enjoy your lunch!"

Watching them leave, Gayoon felt a wave of exhaustion crash over her. She let out a heavy sigh, glancing at her watch and realizing she had wasted ten minutes of her lunch break. Grabbing a quick burger and cola to satisfy her hunger, she dashed off to the student lounge, knowing she was already behind on the reports she had promised to finish.

Donghyuck was pissed, and for reasons he couldn't even pinpoint. Twenty minutes before lunch, his emotions had taken a sharp, unexplainable turn, and he couldn't shake it. He sat in his seat, forehead creased in frustration, doing his best to block out the discomfort gnawing at him.

He didn't talk much during class, which was unusual for him. Instead, he sat silently, lost in his own mind, only offering short responses when Jeno or the professor addressed him.

The irritation lingered, gnawing at him. What the hell was going on?

It wasn't until he remembered the soulmate bond that the pieces started to click. It had to be that. It was the only explanation he could come up with for this weird emotional turmoil.

Mark leaned over, watching Donghyuck's quiet, brooding posture. "You're not talking."

"I am," Donghyuck muttered, his voice terse.
