Donghyuck felt safe—safer than he ever had. Nestled in Gayoon's embrace, her warmth wrapped around him like a shield from all his fears. He slept soundly, letting himself drift into the comfort of her homely scent and the gentle way her fingers combed through his hair.

The couch beneath them wasn't ideal, but Gayoon bore it with care, trying not to disturb his much-needed rest. When his head, tilted on her shoulder, began to shift uncomfortably, she delicately adjusted his position, guiding him down until his head rested on her lap.

Those three words carried weight, but they also brought her immense relief.

Donghyuck loves her. Her soulmate loves her.

And most importantly—he'll stay.

Her eyes darted around, only to land on an empty couch. Panic set in momentarily, snapping her upright, until a familiar voice pulled her out of her thoughts.

"Oh, you're up."

Her gaze shot toward the kitchenette, where Donghyuck stood with a casual smile, a pan in one hand and a spatula in the other.

"I made breakfast," he announced as if nothing had happened, his tone light.

Relief flooded through her, and she exhaled shakily. "Hyuck..."
