The weather was dark and gray as usual with barley any blue sky or sun to be seen. Ever since your mother was possibly going to hurt you, you had her trust but you mainly hid from her here and there and only came out when you were called or when it was time to eat.

Alcina (POV)

You have been sitting in the main room all day and something felt wrong. Isn't your favourite child supposed to be right beside you?

Also, it was quiet... too quiet. He hasn't been himself properly since you snapped and was about to hurt him but stopped when Bela said that it was an accident. You wanted to show him how she felt but if you did that, there would have been serious consequences with him and your trust.

You take a deep breath and call (y/n).
"(Y/n)! Come here sweetheart." You yell as the halls echoed it. You heard his feet patter in the distance two minutes later. He looked up at you as you stood up.

"Mind telling me what is bothering you? Why are you not like yourself? I won't bite or yell." You tell him gently as you bent down to his slightly feared face.

He started to shake slightly but did not say a word. You knew him well since you met first eight months ago. You knew he didn't want to upset you and he feels frightened.

A thought then pops in your head. "(Y/n) is this about the other day? I told you, you are forgiven and it was an accident and I am sorry for almost tempting to attack you for punishment. I miss you."

This stops his shaking and he stays still for five seconds before talking.

"You... you do? I am here though." He says quietly in a frightful voice. You knew what he meant but you knew he didn't know what you meant.

"No, I know you are still here but... I miss you coming over in this happy attitude and you would snuggle up to me, you felt comfortable around me, and you... you loved me more than you do now."

His face widened and he made the face that alerted you he was going to have a cry. You open your arms and he bursts into tears running towards you and you grab him for the hug.

"Hush now my boy. I just wish you could be yourself again. I am not upset, I understand. I can make it up to you." You whisper to him making him stop his crying.

"Listen to me son. I love you so much. I just want you to not treat me like the monster under your bed but is safe to be around when I call you. Its me. Your mommy. Your mommy who will always care for you, keep you safe, and guide you well. I am not a threat." You rub his head gently causing him to relax.

You grab your handkerchief from the counter and you wipe his tears away. "Now little one, what can I do to make things up?" You ask gaining a slight smile.

He then presses his lips onto yours and you giggle and you start to kiss him with your love and you sat on the couch as you continued. After a few minutes, you wrapped him around in a blanket and you held him tight. He was warm, comfortable and happy.

Just like normal again.

He also rolled into the front of your dress and you gasped. He giggled to get you giggling.

"Is that how you treat women you little mouse?" You ask him as he was trying to be funny.

He then got out and started to go onto of your hat. "Oh I see what you are doing little mouse. Crawling all over your mommy hm?" You ask as he was giggling and causing you to laugh as you put your hands on your hips.

He then started to laugh as he crawled all over you and you tried to grab him but missed just to play around. Your daughters enter the room and see the two of you playing.

"Mother, you got brother back to normal!" Bela says as she was smiling seeing the two of you.

"Mommy, I am sorry I hid from you and mainly stayed away from you." (Y/n) says after tiring himself out and sliding back to your arms.

"I forgive you dear. You were just scared. I blame myself for causing you to mainly stay away from me. But now we can be happy again." You hum as he places his head under your chin and on your neck.

He then mumbles something, "I love you." before falling asleep. You widen your eyes and then awe at him as he sleeps peacefully with what seems to be an expression on his face you have not seen in a few days...

His smile.

"He may get his dinner later, I feel like I need to do something with him that I needed to do since the last time I seen his smile... a bit of mother and son bonding." You respond to them as you sit on the couch holding him up to you.

The rest of the night goes well. While you had your dinner late, you felt happy that your dearest son was happy to be with you again. He was up against you hugging you from the neck and hanging down to the end of your chest.

Things felt like normal again and the night ended with you, your daughters and your son by the fire and sitting by it happily together as a happy family who love each other.
