Chapter 49

You were excited. There was just ONE more day until your first birthday! At this point, it was a year since you were with Sally and Charley in the orphanage and discussing about the transfer of orphanages. You couldn't believe it.

You seen all the decorations being hung up around the castle and you couldn't wait to turn seven. In the Dimitrescu Family's vision, you were turning one. You didn't care though. Birthdays were great because from what you experienced in the castle, it was a lot of fun! You got to stay up WAY past your bedtime, you got to pick what you wanted for dinner and get a dessert (cake), and the best part.

Presents!

You had a lot of presents lined up in the library. You got to see the amount and there was just too many to know how much there was.

You seen through the keyhole which explains it all. You were not allowed to go in because your mother had a feeling that you would run in and open them all. Like you would ever do such a thing.

You were currently by the fire and you were excited. You couldn't wait much longer for the day to finally come. You had to wait a total of twelve hours.

"Well little one, it has almost been one year since we first met and I welcomed you to our family. I cannot believe it has been this long little one." Your mother says as she is looking at you from the playroom door.

"This room was not even a playroom, it used to be just a bare room we used to study quietly." She says entering the room and bends down to reach you.

You jump into her arms and your smile is bigger than her own one. "I have a little gift for you dear. It isn't a birthday present... well, it sort of is but it is very important to have." She says bringing you to her chambers.

She holds up a necklace with the Dimitrescu crest. "Now, you are a member of the family and this is how we make things official. You must wear this at all times outside of bathtimes and sleeping hours. Dragon mic, te-ai alăturat forței noastre." She says putting the little necklace on and it was pretty big also. Also what did she say for the last part?

She brings you to the dinner table because it was dinner time and it was cooked meat strips. You had to eat them in little chunks since,

1. You could choke on it
2. You had milk teeth
3. It was polite (duh)

The women of the castle started to chat to each other leaving you to eat your food in peace. You got a image in your head of a man entering the castle though and immediately alert everyone.

"Good dragon hatchling." Your mother says picking you up and putting you in her front pouch.
"I'll make this count for you my little baby boy." She says extending her claws out and got ready to take him out by surprise.

The man came in and she got him easily impailing his skull. She slammed him into the ground and laughed. "What a worthless piece of prey. Girls, he is all yours!" She says walking back to the dinner table.

"Eat up now little one, you are having a bath after dinner." She says licking her lips with blood on them. (The blood sprayed on her face)

You then decided you were not going to eat because of those words. Bath time. "Why? It's my birthday soon." She laughed and kissed your cheek. "Can you not stop being cute for me sweetie, I just adore it." She says rubbing your hair.

After bath, It was bedtime. It was Christmas all over again. You were too excited to go to sleep.

"Night night, little one. You have a good day tomorrow. It is a very special one." She says smiling and kissing your head as she pulls the covers over you.

You fell asleep after a few hours of waiting. Almost there!

Really want to get to the birthday part because, I have been DYING to write it and it should be out soon! (Like tomorrow since you guys got two chapters more than usual today.)
