It was the most magical time of the year now. (well to a kid) It's Christmas! You were very excited. You and your family decorated the castle halls and walls with fancy decorations with the colors of white and blue.
You liked the theme a lot since it looked perfect for the castle. You seen wrapped gifts, some flowers that grow at this time of year, and extra snow was falling down outside. It was magical.
When you did Christmas back at the orphanage, you got to ask for one present from Santa Claus! You had to write it down on a piece of paper and hand it to the nuns to give to Mrs. Hamilton.
However there was a few things that confused you about this type of Christmas.
Where's the tree?
You looked confused and you looked around for a tree in the castle. There wasn't any. You then went up to your mother to ask.
"Mommy. Isn't there supposed to be a tree for Christmas?" You ask her as she was reading a book by the main room's fire place.
"Hmm? Oh. I know what's the matter. You see child. We do Winter Celebrations... differently around here so we don't have tree in the castle. Why do you ask? Are you used to trees?" She asks. You nod. She then starts to hum and then picks you up.
"Come child, I'll show you what we do differently so you can have a better understanding." She says before walking to the library.
She then grabs a book and sits you on her lap and opens it showing you all the pictures inside it. "Now, we call this, Winter Celebrations. It lands on the same day as Christmas to you but... we do things differently. We do give gifts so you will be happy to know that!"
"By Santa?"
Her eyes widened and she gets anxious. She didn't know what to say. If she broke your heart, she might make you cry. She had to think of something quick.
"Dear, Saint Nick doesn't come around here. Those pesky lycans would steal the other children's gifts. He sends the to Miranda."
"Oh" you respond.
Saved.
"Anyways, yes. We do get gifts. We open them at exact time of dawn, then we get prepared for a feast in the castle with all the family which is the nasty stuff we eat. Don't worry, I have you covered. Then we have family time together. Even though I get very angry at your idiotic and rude uncle Heisenberg, we usually have a nice time." She says before closing the book and walks out of the library with you in her arms.
The moment of Winter Evening came when you had to be put to bed early...
At 5pm.
"Mommy, it feels to early to be put to bed." You say to her as she pulls over the covers over your very small body. "We have to be up at 4:45am tomorrow dearest so we can start the celebrations. Oh yes... I haven't forgotten that you have not one, but seven presents tomorrow." She says smiling and kissing your cheek before walking out of the room.
Your excitement bursts. "WHY DID YOU TELL ME?" You shout out causing her to laugh. "I know, I am horrible." She says giggling. "Night night (Y/N). I get you in the morning!" She says as she walks away.
9pm. That was how long you stayed up for with excitement. You eventually fell asleep after tiring yourself with excitement in your head.
4:35am
The door faintly opens in your room and your mother looks at you sleeping. She was smiling. It was about time to wake up. However, you were still asleep and you wouldn't usually be waking up until 8:15am or 9am.
