11 - Shopping Day

"Give me your hand," demanded Shoto.

Without waiting for your answer, he grabbed your hand himself and interlocked his fingers with yours. You didn't say anything and just smiled as your face turned the same color as Mina's. You were both on your way to homeroom, which you were already late to.

You spent the rest of the weekend hanging out with each other. Since you were required to testify at the police station you took this opportunity to walk around and explore the city. Thankfully, it wasn't difficult to come up with a reason as to why Shoto was with you as he too was involved with the whole deal. You're pretty sure your dad was a little suspicious about how you two interacted with each other, but he still hasn't found out. You don't want to tell him just yet because you don't know how he's going to react to you dating Endeavor's son. Not that you expect a bad reaction, but he is a dad nonetheless.

Last night you stayed up late and both of you slept through your alarms, which is why you're currently speed-walking to class. You are nervous to see how your friends are going to react, but there's no use in hiding it from them. Not like you could if you wanted to, they're your roommates after all. Right before opening the door, Shoto gives a small squeeze to your hand.

"Why are you two holding hands?" Innocently comments Hagakure.

You close your eyes to brace yourself for the screams of your classmates. It sounded just like the first day you got there, but this somehow feels even more nerve-wracking than back then.

"When did this happen?"

"I had my suspicions about those two..."

"Called it! Now you owe me my money."

"That should have been me."

"Why did you hide this from us?"

"My maann I see you!"

"What the fuck?"

"Damn man I can't believe he won her over me!"

More and more comments could be heard from all over the room and neither of you knew where to start. Thankfully, behind you, the door opened up. You took this opportunity and dragged Todoroki towards your seats as your teacher set his stuff down on the desk.

"Silence," scolded Aizawa, immediately everyone went quiet. "Now, principal Nezu decided that the students need sort a break from... all that has been happening. So he's sending you on a trip... and me, because somehow I always end up involved in these things... Anyways, they'll send you the details later once they finalize everything. That's all for today."

As fast as everyone went quiet, they soon erupted in talk again. To your advantage, they now were more focused on this trip than on your relationship. However, that didn't stop Mina from sitting next to you to ask exactly what you were thinking she was going to ask you about.

"L/n, want to go shopping later for the trip?" Asked Mina cheerily.

Well, that wasn't exactly what you thought she was going to ask.

"But first tell me all about you and Todoroki being together!"

There it is.

"I'm right here you know?" Scoffed Shoto.

"Yeah whatever," she says waving him away. "You know what? Better yet tell me about it when we go out shopping. Girls only plus Bakugo, though!" She says pointing a finger at Shoto before he can say anything.

"What did you just say?!" Barked Bakugo from across the room.

How he even heard that through all the noise in the room you'll never know.
