13 - New Classmate

A while has passed after the camping trip and the only exciting thing that has happened was a few of your classmates being recruited for a special mission with Pro Heroes all the way on the other side of the country. Iida, Koda, and Jiro had left two days prior and the group felt incomplete. Well, because it was. But you missed them already.

No one told you what the mission was about, and your friends themselves were strictly told not to talk about it, so it's a mystery why they specifically were selected. Not even your dad would budge.

"As you know," started Aizawa, "some of your classmates, as well as some other students from other classes were recruited, along with Vlad King. Therefore he asked me to take in some of his students while he was gone to make it easier for his substitute."

As he concluded, the door opened and two students walked in: Tetsutetsu and Kodai from Class 1-B.

"Let's goooo!" Yells out Kirishima as he stands up to go dap up Tetsutetsu.

"You know each other already so no need to do presentations, go sit in any empty spot," says Aizawa.

While Tetsutetsu spoke with Kirishima, Kodai silently walked to the back and sat next to you.

"L/n, right?"

You turned to look at her. You think this is the first time you've heard her speak before.

"Yes! Hi! Nice to officially meet you! You're Kodai?"

"Yes..." she says quietly looking at the floor, "I've been wanting to talk to you, you have a great quirk don't you?"

"Ha-ha, you think so?" You reply a little embarrassed while scratching the back of your neck.

"You could really ruin someone's life with it, couldn't you?"

"Um, umm... what?" You respond, taken aback.

"Todoroki, right?" She says, now looking past you.

Shoto, who had been busy writing something down in his notebook, looked up to see who was talking to him.

"Huh?"

"I've been seeing you, you're the recommended student, your quirk really is great," she says in a low voice, blushing up.

HELLO?

"Uh, oh, thank you?" Answers Shoto.

Phew. Good thing he has barely any game.

Hopefully, all she is showing is admiration and that's it.

If not...

"L/n, would you like to have lunch together?" She says, back to you.

"Umm... yeah! Sure!" you respond cheerily.

Turns out Kodai is actually really cool! You were worrying for nothing. Although she seemed the type to not talk much, you two were having a great conversation over lunch, and even Shoto seemed to be enjoying the conversation.

"So pretty much I can control the size of things at will," she comments while taking off a ring from her finger, "I can make it bigger, or smaller," she demonstrates, "and return it to its original size by touching my fingers together."

"So cool!" You yelp in excitement, "I wish I could show you my own, but maybe right here is not the place to do so," you giggle.

"Speaking of," Kodai started, "I rented out a gym for today, and I was hoping you would train with me, Todoroki."
