12 - Camping Trip

"Okay everyone let's make sure we all board the bus," directs Iida.

The day of our trip had arrived and you all had been woken up unnecessarily early. Mostly everyone was a little cranky, besides a few exceptions. Thankfully, Yaoyorozu pushed you all to pack your bags early, some cooperated more than others.

"Why does he get to sit next to you?!" Complains Katsuki.

Here we go.

Katsuki has been arguing all morning because he claims he has barely seen you ever since you got together with Shoto. You feel a little guilty because he might be right. Since you've been so focused on Shoto, you have neglected the rest of your friendships a bit.

"Because I'm her boyfr-"

"I WASN'T TALKING TO YOU ASS FACE!" Interrupts Katsuki.

"Katsuki," you intervene while pushing him and Shoto away from each other, "I know you just love my company-"

"IT'S JUST SO I CAN KEEP AN EYE ON YOU SO YOU DON'T GET US INTO MORE TROUBLE THAN YOU ALREADY DID, NIGHTGOWN," interrupts, again, Katsuki.

A little smirk escapes your lips. Of course, he wouldn't admit that he considers you a friend, so he says things like these.

Typical.

Now he was barking nonsense at Shoto's face and he just looked at him with a bored look.

How can I fix this...?

"Tell you what," you say, as they both turn to you, "if you shut up I'll sit with you on our way back."

"What."

"Deal," Katsuki quickly answers with an evil grin as he shakes your hand.

Shoto just turned to look at you with an incredulous look, not believing what just happened right in front of you. You just raise your shoulders, defeated.

"Would you have rather he kept going?"

"Fair point."

Finally, everyone got on the bus and you were on your way to the mountains you were going to camp in for the next days. As agreed, you sat with Shoto on your way there. He wasn't too happy that he wouldn't sit with you on your way back but knew he couldn't argue with you.

You were sitting on the window seat, looking outside at the trees passing by, leaning your head on Shoto's shoulders. There wasn't much to see besides the same trees over and over again, but it was a calming sigh.

You could faintly hear some music. Soon enough, you found out it was coming from Shoto's earbuds.

"What are you listening to?"

Without a word, he takes one of the earbuds out of his ear and passes it to you. You put it on and start having your private concert with Shoto. You've never listened to this song before, but it fit perfectly with the moment.

"WHY DID YOU INSIST ON SITTING WITH HER IF YOU WEREN'T EVEN GOING TO SPEAK YOU BASTARD," jumps out Katsuki, who was sitting right in front of you.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say," you reply while putting one of your hands on his face and pushing him back into his seat.

"I'll keep him still from now on guys," comments Kirishima, who was sitting next to him, with an apologetic look.

"Everyone," calls out Aizawa as you were taking your things out of the bus, "I promise this trip won't be like the last time we went camping."
