It's been a week since your mom's passing. Your dad took care of everything related to the burial and you couldn't be more grateful. Definitely having him there made everything better. However, it doesn't mean adjusting hasn't been easy.
The news broke out about All Might having a daughter. You suspect the nurse at the lab was the one who leaked the story, but you don't have enough proof. Since then, you haven't left your dad's side because he feared one of the many enemies he has collected over the years might want to harm you.
Which leads you to this very moment. You are sitting in principal Nezu's office at UA, the best hero school around. Your dad has taken you here because he feels you'll be more protected if you're studying and living on campus. You weren't very fond of the idea, much less your friends, but it wasn't something you could really argue against.
"I understand the situation, but I would say it is only fair that she passes the same practical entrance exam as the other kids," says the pale, slender man standing in the corner. He looked tired and didn't really seem to want to be there. Not like you want to be there either, so you understand.
"How is the entrance exam?" You ask, speaking for the first time during the whole meeting.
"Well," the man in the corner moves from leaning on the wall and nears you "It's simple. You just have to fight against bots. You can at least do that, right?" He glares at your dad. You turn to him, then back to this man who you assume is one of the teachers.
"Well, Mr..."
"Aizawa."
"Mr. Aizawa, I'm afraid my quirk won't be effective against robots..." You whisper looking down. It is kinda embarrassing, after all.
"Elaborate on why it won't be." Aizawa raises an eyebrow at you, understandably.
"You see, my quirk is nightmare. Pretty much I can read people's minds and find out what their fears are and sort of... bring them to life? Physically?" You play with your hands while looking at the floor. "And I can control them. But the problem is that, if it's a machine, there's not much I can do."
There was something about your quirk that you omitted. Part because you didn't think it was necessary to mention, part because you don't like talking about it. You are able to encage people into a nightmare. However, you have no control over what people see. So you would rather avoid doing that so, you know, not give anyone trauma unnecessarily. It also feels kinda mean.
"Hmm... then let's make an exception, given the circumstances." He looks at your dad and principal Nezu.
"Then you're waiving it?"
"No."
"Aw." You sighed. Of course, it wasn't going to be that easy.
"You'll fight against another student. This way your quirk works, correct?" You nod, "Okay, then you'll be fighting the recommended entrance student. Since you're All Might's daughter, you should have no problems," he starts walking, heading for the door. "it'll be graded based on performance, I'll let you know through All Might the date. Now I must head out, I have a class to teach." Aizawa leaves the room.
You stare in shock, slowly turning to your dad and Nezu.
"How am I supposed to fight against the recommended student when I have ZERO experience?!" You yell as you start hyperventilating, "I specifically avoid using my quirk, and now look where that has taken me!"
"Y/n let's calm down."
"They're going to annihilate me!"
"Look at me," your dad grabs you by the shoulders, "you're going to do great, I am going to help you."
